Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Newspaper Apps for Ipad

    Hi All

Got an iPad mini yesterday. Anyone recommend newspaper apps for the iPad. On the iPhone the webpages format nicer than the iPad so probably the reason for that is the sites get you to use the dedicated Ipad apps. The main problem is the price differences.

    Examples of this are.

    The Times UK
You can get the iphone app which includes web access for about €9 a month, but it costs €19 a month for the ipad version

    The Telegraph.
You can get the iphone app which includes web access for about €2.50 a month, but it costs €12 a month for the ipad version.

Has anyone out there used those websites. If I just subscribe to the web version and use "the reader" to reflow the text.
I know the iPad versions look sleek, etc. Its the cost that bugs me.
    Any help much appreciated :)

I use the below for news.

    News 360---love it :)
    Flipboard
    Journal.ie
    BBC
Pulse--allows you to customize the feeds etc.
In fact there's no shortage of news apps for ipad :)

I tried The Guardian app for iPad - it's good, but I thought it was a little pricey (it starts at €8.99 a month), so I've left it for now. You can get a few editions for free, so it might be worth checking it out. The Guardian's iPhone app is excellent and only €5.99 for six months.

I also use the free Pulse and Flipboard - both are good.

Flipboard is my favourite app on the iPad. It is absolutely fantastic and it's part of why I bought one.

Just installed it now. Can you customise the feeds on it ?

Edit: I should have just checked the settings to see you can customise :)
