loans/credit cards for bad credit history

    I'm just wondering are there any company's in Ireland that do small loans or give credit cards to people whose credit history isn't the best?
    I know about provident but I don't like the fact that they call to the house for the repayments. I don't want my neighbours knowing.
    I don't have a credit union account so this isn't an option either
