Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just looking at the previous general chat thread here, we lasted about 12 months with that.
Now, with 5 months left to go we are only at 5,350 posts or so.
Are we running out of things to say?
Have we lost a few posters along the way?
    Have we gained a few?
Where da fuq did Sparks go?
    Do we want him back?
    Isn't Repton great?

Has anyone played Guacamelee here? Really impressed by it, a vibrant, funny and mechanically robust Metroidvania-type. Some serious platforming in it!

I quite liked Headhunter. It looked great at the time, could never get past the bit where you had to drive around the city disarming bombs though.

I found the frequent loading to be a drag tbh.
But it was an indication of what the Dreamcast might have done more of and better had it gotten another few years of innovation and development.
Now, I think I'll go home and play Rez while weeping softly.

Had an absolutley fantastic weekend at Kaizoku Con in Cork.

Was awesome meeting up with MrVestek and Sera for the first time.

The most epic moment for me had to be when this guy appeared...

    301008.jpg

...and a crowd of about 20 people around him when silent as he played the
Song Of Time on his Ocarina!

It sent chills down my spine!

was looking at the CeX website there, and it turns out they're up to 16 stores now

always good for some hidden gems on ps2/xbox

Ordered a few bits and pieces from a dude in the states. Including some 100 yen coins.

The parcel (a tube) arrived today but no yen.
I fully trust the seller and no note from customs saying they opened it.

    Sticky fingers along the way?

    What are my options here?

Noticed the same about spyro :(

I'm starting to notice nostalgia kicking in for the PS1 era so that's why I think a lot of the popular PS1 games are going up in price. Kids who grew up with the PS1 would be now in their mid to late 20's and now have disposable income so are buying them to relive their childhood. I always remember everyone I knew had crash and spyro on the PS1 so I'd say a lot of people are going back to those series.

Just watching the brother having a blast of Xenoblade and the voice acting is horrendous. I couldn't be listening to those English accents for like 100 hours.
Fortunately you can turn on the Japanese voices. Can't turn it off though.

I know its a 29mm(1 1/8) I am after but after checking woodies I could not find any.

I used Forstner bits for mine. Got a nice kit off of Ebay for cheap as chips territory using Parcel Motel as the delivery service to get around silly shipping fees.

This is the kit that I got anyway (or one very similar looking to this):
    http://www.ebay.ie/itm/5-PC-FORSTNER-DRILL-BIT-15-35MM-WOODWORKING-TOOLS-DIY-/111313803824?pt=UK_Crafts_Other_Crafts_EH&hash=item19ead1da30

Comes in a nice case to keep them all in too.

I found the holes that they cut very clean and it was easier to use them (for me anyway) that it was with spade bits or anything like that.

Glad I picked up Project Diva f on PS3 this month. The price of the game is skyrocketing at the moment since the limited run Sega produced is pretty much sold through now.

I decided to buy an LED wiz to mess about with visual pinball.
Ended up getting a ipac also, because you never know right?
sure might as well order some leds too,
    oh I need some resisters,grand.
some fuses, better get them too.oh yeah fuse holders.
Sure some little dome covers would be cool for the leds,
I could wire some tilt switches and a shaker motor up in a test rig.
    yeah good idea.
    few buttons too.
    200quid later what the **** am I at!:eek::eek:

Yeah try to string them along for as long as possible! They've never called me, I feel so left out :(

This video on them is pretty interesting. He wanted to see what they actually do to your pc so let them loose on a virtual machine. It's a long video but worth a watch if you have the time.

This looks rather promising. €100 for a preorder with no release date and no warranty is a bit troubling though!
And currently no way of selecting games other than scrolling through using hardware buttons.

Sword Art Online is the worst thing to happen to anime since Satoshi Kon died. There has never been such a good idea for a TV series squandered. At least Log Horizon took the same idea and made something good out of it.
