Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Actually monkeykube, I still have that Wii RGB scart for you! Must drop it down to you.

What's the consensus on those GBA with AGS101 screens, you know the original type GBA, not the SP? Andrew, I think you got one before didn't you? Was it a good job done on it, ie any dust/marks behind the screen lens etc? I'd love an AGS101 but I bloody hate the SP, so they seem like a good trade-off?

Forgot about that cable, I didn't buy a gba yet. The original gba felt the most comfortable in my hands. I know dust behind the screen was a problem with the old afterburner lights, not sure how these stack up but they look the part from any pictures I saw. Think a lad on Etsy was selling them. Was it Ghostchant that picked one up before?

Possibly, fairly sure Andrew did too. I was more or less ready to pull the trigger on one the other night & noticed a "not my fault if there is dust or marks behind screen" clause which kinda put me off...

In fairness he was is a bit of a lemon, it wasn't will he crash? more when is he going to crash. F1 is probably the one sport that I do watch although this season hasn't lived up to expectations so far.

They're not exactly cheap and that too would worry me. Must find out off the owners on here if they had any issues with dust etc.

    Dear god.
I never watched Gamesmaster, not a one.
I was either working, drinking or playing games at the time it was on.
That said, I did watch the Sky programme Gamesworld instead

That's a serious suit he's got on there!

I know a few people work in graphics here or have had professional prints done.
Whats the best printers around for canvas and high quality paper?
I want to get some arcade marquees printed up for my man cave and want to get a decent crowd to do it. There's a lot of black in most of them so its vital the blacks are black black and not the grey black I've seen on some jobs.

    These kinds of images:
    http://retrovia.ie/dls/pics/gravitar_marquee_psd.jpg
    http://retrovia.ie/dls/pics/Tron%20Marquee(bally%20midway).psd.jpg
    http://retrovia.ie/dls/pics/defender_marquee4_psd.jpg

So you see that black is important to get the nice effect of the marquee.

I use a local printing shop for my stuff, wouldnt really know where to send you for canvas prints. High quality paper print should be easy enough to sort, ring around some local places and see what they say, long as you have the document setup for "legit" black printing is should be done fairly well by any decent printing shop

Cheers dude, I'm still undecided which will look better on the wall, a paper printed framed marquee or a canvas one. Canvas prints can be lacking in nicely saturated colours and "pop". I'll prob go for a mix and match and see how i like both.
And i wont be sending a jpg to the printers either :)

Yeah if you send them digital files the result will be so much better!

I'd say a nice high quality print framed is the way to go, especially for big stuff. Maybe cavas for smaller prints, I tihnk a small canvas of a sprite from a game looks cool, but thats just me.

I got a good few prints done a while ago on high gloss photo paper and they looked pretty nice, biggest I got was A4 though

Have a look at this guy aswell http://squarepainter.deviantart.com/ maybe you can go that route haha!

Even though it's a fabric and not canvas, I need to get a custom print done by the guy made that makes the Secret of Mana prints that you bought.

    Great pics!

Interesting that the Missile Command and Donkey Kong have big locks across the front. I wonder did he just rent them from a vendor and pay per play?

One of those bizarre games where one hour I'd think the combat system was the saviour of JRPGs, another think it is a borderline broken mess.

An interesting but flawed game overall, although the story is a load of rubbish and not helped by weird and stilted localisation efforts.

Just had a look at the GBA there - there is a tiny bit of dust/something at the very bottom right corner - it's on the black border around the actual screen (so not in the game display area). Never noticed it before actually but definitely wouldn't have stopped me buying it if I had spotted it beforehand. Tbh I would never play the standard GBA anyway as the screen is cack, same as the NGPC screen imo. And as you said, SP is too uncomfortable to play properly.

I wonder if he was hitting the offy for her between takes?
I mean, which bottle of scotch is appropriate to be necked by a little girl?
Or was he scoring her coke instead?

Probably going for a more appropriate drink for a minor cider dude. Jesus what type of monster are you implying he is getting her scotch and coke? Back then a few bottles of mugshot or woodies would be far more appropriate children's booze.

The item description has this line in it :)

"The item may have some stain and some scratches"

    What kind of stain??!!

I have both Saturn and PC Engine versions. The Saturn is the better of the two. I kind of like the game. The PC 9801 complete edition that followed is the best one though I think (not the original 9801 version).

    From Wikipedia:

It is an adult game in which the player must battle their way through a stage before battling the stage's boss. Once the boss is defeated, the player character will then engage in sex with the female boss character in order to return the character to normal.

Given her behaviour at that age it's increasingly looking likely you are Drew Barrymores love child, conceived in a drug fuelled tryst and sent away, via closed adoption, to Ireland.
Can't argue with that, it explains so much!
