Water quality at Sutton beach (Burrow Road)

Now that we can actually go to the beach, I was wondering about the water quality... I don't intend swimming in it myself, but the kids have splashed around with their feet. It looked clean enough, with the exception of this frothy stuff that was being left behind on the sand. I wouldn't expect it to be pretty clean but…

I wouldn't expect it to be pretty clean but just wondering if there are any health risks involved in even letting kids walk in and splash around?
