Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is my iPhone 4 heading for the bin?

    Howdy,

Synced my iphone 4 this evening. Ejected it properly, unplugged, etc. Went to the shop, came back, phone was dead.

It wouldn't switch on. Tried the old simultaneous sleep/home button trick - no joy.

Plugged it into laptop - nothing.

Popped it onto a speaker dock and it kicked in - apple logo appeared, was working grand. Battery charging logo and everything. As soon as I remove it from dock, phone goes dead in an instant. I put it on dock again, and logo appears, yada, yada. As you were.

I've tried rebooting it while it's plugged into dock. No joy.

To add to the mix, my wifi button is now greyed out. No wi-fi. What's that all about?

Just so you know, this is a replacement iPhone I got about 4 months ago. In great nick. No water damage, etc.

Any thoughts on any of this?

    Cheers

Plug it into a proper charger and restore from backup?

When you say proper charger, what do you mean?

The one that came with it. Some of those speakers can't supply enough current to sufficiently charge the phone, as a result it switches off when you plug it out. Sounds like it might be something else though but it would start ruling things out.

So much for my early night.

Gonna start on the this in the morning when I'm not goggle eyed.

Will probably be back on again. Cheers

Clutching at straws but is there any dirt in the dock port?
