I had job application forms for a pub I ran in London some years ago. (I never trusted CVs).

One of the questions on the form was "What is your nationality"?

I once received a form from an applicant who ansewered that question by saying "Black".

    Careful now! ;)

You see it on boards all the time. "Theres no jobs out there, I've sent out 100s of CVs with no response". Did you write a cover letter? "Should I have...?"

Don't you mean "should of" ;)

What a sensible way to manage parking fees - pay for what you use and no more. Of course it'll never be brought in here, no way of gouging the consumer.

There is always the Community Welfare Officer to sort out interim payments, using the system you mentioned would sadly only lead to abuse of claims. You also have the right to have a certain amount of your wages subbed to you.

I take it you have never been in Natalie's situation.

And whats this about having "the right to have a certain amount of your wages subbed to you".

I doubt very much such a right is enshrined in law.

Has there been anything about Rosie Hackett, or are they saving that for Joe's return?

    This drives me mad.

The dole is stopped as soon as the job begins yet she won't be getting paid for weeks.

Her claim should remain live until she receives her first paycheck.

Exactly, and a lot of people are afraid to accept part-time/seasonal/temporary work because benefits get stopped and it can take forever to get back on them once the work ends

Why doesn't he give his real name?

If it went to court its in the public domain anyway.

Bankruptcy advice from ben dunne? Has ben experience of bankruptcy?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 394 ✭✭Dublin_Mom

I have a bit of as problem with people skipping off to the UK and getting their debts wiped out...am I alone there? I am sure they are entitled to, but what about the people you owe money to? Hardly fair, is it?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 27,833 ✭✭✭✭ThisRegard

Well done PBH, you wouldn't have Joe admit to his Ben giving wrong advice, sure Ben, in his eyes, is one of the great en-trap-on-airs.

Turning his back on the beak and walking out of the courtroom in a hissy fit.

    That'll help.
