Bingo. My folks were always skint and we never went on school trips abroad (not that abroad figured much back then, anyway). I only later realised we were skint because we were paying off a mortgage. I did wonder at the time how come all my rellies in social housing could get away and have more stuff.

Remember the crack with Giles and Dunphy afterwards plotting the trajectory of the spit in the studio. :D

Dunphy - "Rijkaard launches the spit from here - Now stop it there"

Giles - "There's the spit mid flight, I think his aim was terrible - Roll it again"

Time for Duffy to return I think.
Philip's melllifluous tones make me nod off.....

I remember that well Lapin, the BBC were going into spasms over the "disgusting" spit while the lads on RTE were laughing their head off and following it with their markers on the "interactive" screen!.......Happy days indeed! :D

Why ever did they do away with the interactive screen with all the little squiggles?
