€14.33 is but a minute's work for Joe.
I could feel the sympathy and empathy oozing out of him, there.

My elderly mother used to travel to Dublin very regularly from country. She kept her money in a bag around her waist but also carried a decoy empty handbag each time. The decoy bag was nicked every time.

Wouldnt you love to put some plastic explosive and a proximity sensor in the decoy bag. It'd reduce the crime problem in Dublin one at a time.

    I run at 3pm everyday.

Just when I thought it was impossible to dumb down Irish radio any further than it already is, along comes Brek on a mission to find Ireland's best shower singer.

What a mind numbingly pointless waste of time and energy.

    Thank fuk for Moncrieff !

Gaybo - back in the day - interviewed a farmer's wife who came up to Dublin for Christmas shopping on the traditional day with a bag containing a sheep's/cow's head for that purpose. A small chance she might have been creating her own urban rural legend, but I doubt it.

Just read yesterday's thread.... what was the bit about a boat/engine getting stolen???

Sounds like there might be a few seriously happy junkies in Dublin today (possibly with giant drug-induced hangovers, obviously). Daft people carrying lots of money, will they never learn

Heard the promo for today's show, have forgotten most of the items already - but if he sticks to it (and even if he doesn't) I give myself approx. 23 minutes before I have to pull the plug :D

Afternoon friends... I can imagine Joe Duffy in the meeting earlier with his bosses... "Listen Joe, I want you to be as rude and abrupt with the callers today. And if any of them start giving an opinion that you dont agree with, be as dismissive and sarcastic as possible... Now go give us a show, superstar"

Woman had boat stolen from outside her house.. kept referring to it as "the engine".. I think she needed her own timing belt checked.
