    Didn't get his initial thing.

Bit I know of many cases in regards Rates due to the Council here wherby people have made arrangements to pay "x" amount per month against their rates bills without ever having to go to Court.
As I said yesterday, they're not all tossers by any means (indeed, most I've dealt with have been ok) but it sounds like he's encountered one.

Not getting through to the Organ Grinder and having to speak to D'omen instead will be up there by the time he gets down for a jar later on.

The country is not in the best shape its ever been in I will accept that, but for people to continually come on and say things like "there's nothing here" "it will never get better" "we are no where near finished with austerity" means they are wallowing in it and not doing anything themselves to make the situation better. Moaning will not end austerity

My goodness, there's a vindictive streak to this thread already today

He explained why he bought the house, he explained why he can't sell the house, he explained why he can't pay the lump sum but says that he's willing to pay it on the drip (and it's a finite amount now that the household tax has started).

And yet the lynch mob is out.

Don't think I'll last long on the thread today.

Council Rates should be renamed Croke Park Agreement Rates.

If it's going to be a Rates bashing day today, here's hoping for someone to ring in with a "brown envelope" comment.

I can imagine Joe tearing out the earpiece and screaming "EXPUNGE!" "EXPUNGE!" at some unsuspecting poolside waiter :)

    Heidi,
We normally take the last Friday of the month off as its Joe would be doing Funny Friday on this particular date so having to be here today has put some of in a bad mood but less of a bad mood if it were a Funny Friday...I hope you understand :)

Somehow I don't think rates will be the cause of this lads business failing

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,730 ✭✭✭europa11

Can someone from Ennistymon ring in about the savage rates being charged around the Blake's Corner District?

It's been ignored completely by the meeeja of late ;)

Brit running a bonsai tree business.

First mistake is his location. Claremorris FFS.

There's nothing up there but sheep and rocks.

He'd clean up in Connemara or West Cork with all the other alternative artisty types.

Wow. I am astonished to hear that a bonzai tree shop failed in some rural backwater of Mayo.

This guy should go into Politics with his great business acumen.

Oh dear God.... "the bonsai tree business, what were you selling?"

    Is he seriously for real?
