So he wants free medical care for everyone, reducing their capitation rate they charge the state would help.

The GPs run a business, how can they afford to keep going?

I've noticed increasingly that if someone tries to make a sensible point that Joe doesn't want to hear, he talks over them and doesn't let them finish. He panders overwhelmingly to the entitlement brigade (not saying there aren't hard cases who ring in) but I've lost all respect for him.

Tell the truth, you had no respect for him in the first place!

It's an absolutely ridiculous system. Over here, you pay the doctor and then you get reimbursed from the social security system. The doctor doesn't get paid for a patient on his books that might never visit him.

You could hear Joe losing the will to live earlier listening to these ones.

I didn't say do it for free. But if everything is being cut back as we're being told by Joe all the time, they can also reduce their charges.

For example one doctor in Dublin made €700,000 from medical card patients alone, another in Kerry got €600,000. The top 5 in Kildare shared over €2 million between them. In one year. It was a while ago when I read that report, and I'd imagine some shared the costs in admin and nurses, but that's their cost of doing business.

Joe - "How can you cook on €3.50 a day?"
Ffs, that's all I spend on food and I eat quite well. Get a grip you overpaid wanker - these centres are buying in bulk, too.

Too many vested interests in ireland, too many fingers in the pie, too many people who dont give a sh1t about anyone else but themselves and until that changes..... from doctors holding patients to ransom, accountants with the new debt deal that doing the rounds,
lawyers/judges using re offenders as a cash cow. swings and roundabouts,

    nothing will change in ireland.
the only thing that will change will be time.

ffs, we cant afford medical cards for sick people and the asylum seekers expect to be sent to Ballymaloo for a week's training.. They should get bed and board, and the rest is up to them..
