ditto if Joe and few others in GravytrainFM did something similar instead of acting the man-of-the-people.

Joe could drop his salary to say €100k (still overpaid btw) and give €300k per annum to the HSE to fund the Joe Duffy School for Chislers if he feels so strongly about this, but instead all he can give to these calls is mock-outrage, heavy sighs, some mutterings under his breath and an unlimited supply of "My God"s and "why?"s.

Im going to sound very cruel, but what benefit is "A full education program" to a person who doesn't have the mental capacity to feed them self?

Jonathan, I think you know by now if I were Noel, Duffy and Tubs would have gotten the bullet before Pat. Not to mention Lottie Ryan.

a bit harsh there Syk, a nation should be judged by the way it looks after these people..

Nice bit of Mooneyesque style baitching form Joe ...."They'd complain to the BAI about us" he says sniffily.

They'd better get to the back of the queue you mean.

Why do successive governments in this country consider people with special needs as second class citizens?

Every bloody year parents have to fight to keep the basic right to education open to their sons and daughters.

Its one of the most shameful aspects of Irish society that our politicians are allowed to get away with playing games with the lives of those with special needs.

They usually come up with something at the very last minute and congratulate themselves while tripping over each other to claim the credit for doing so.

Its a sick and cruel thing to put famililes through. Families who have enough to deal with as things are. Instead of getting the support they need they get fúcked about from bureacurat to bureacurat every year.

Wonder are the researchers fluffers? Like in porn? Bring them to the point of excitement/tears before the star (Duffy) gets the money shot?

What's with his "you're not making your story up either"?

Is he accusing someone (HSE presumably) of saying they are?

Typical Duffy, sly digs as he lacks the cajones to call anyone out on anything that doesn't support his rabble rousing.

People learn different things at different paces Syklops.

While some may require assistance being fed, they may excell in other areas relative to their own ability.

Why should they be denied the same access to the education their able bodied brothers and sisters rightly take for granted?

When Joe asked how did you manage I'd love if one of these women said

"I watch all of my favourite tv shows when I want to watch them Joe, thanks to Sky Plus. And I listen to Newstalk".

I don't listen to 2FM so I've missed out on the Lottie Ryan phenomenon. Sadly.
