    Hang on a second mr principle, the school day is already 9 to 3.30 which is six and a half hours, in what way are you allocated teachers that closing the school at 1pm helps you?

    I'd have loved a half day every week when I was in secondary school.

    This is a non story that Joe is trying to make into something it's not ( as usual).

    Half days are very common in Dubalin skools (posh and not so posh). Even when they're for sports as Joe alluded to the big gombeen head in him can't imagine that not all kids play sports, most actually use it as a half day.

    If Cavan Mammy hasn't reared her teenage children to be able to mind and feed themselves for a few hours unsupervised then she's the problem here, not the school.

    Teachers are allocated hours, the . 27 refers to the hours of 1 teacher.

    Although given the stupidity of the Dept. of Ed. it could be their new pro-amputee hiring policy. :rolleyes:

    Amongst the many things Emperor Duffy gets off on is people getting screwed by shysters and sympathising with them on the air whilst wetting himself laughing in private that people would get worked up about paltry figures like €17k.
