I cannot understand why anyone running a charity event would let a third party collect the money for them.
    A little thing called 'trust'.
I suspect that's going to be in short supply.

Forget the state bodies, if this was the US the FBI would be investigating. Where are the guards?

Oh, what a surprise - State Bodies Useless. Passing the buck, no bloody clue, dodging the issue. Useless chair-polishing farts, as usual.

I was contemplating tuning in. Your post has made me think twice :D

I just looked online, they were charging 7.5% commission and handling fees! For CHARITY collections!

And the CEO's of a lot of charities in this country are on 6 figure salaries. Geniuses.

If a director of a company continues to trade after it has become obvious there is insolvency, is that not fraud in this jurisdiction?

All money collected for charity events should be paid to the organisers of the event or into a nominated bank account. All expenses are then paid by the organisers to whoever is owed money. It's not rocket science ffs. Allowing a third party to collect and control your money is a recipe for exactly what's happened.

Thrill to the excitement negotiating the Worlds Worst T-Junction. Gasp as the bus driver dices with hi-jacked Dublin taxis.

Waiting for this mammy to say the half day for the girls school will cause more teenage pregnancies.
