change a joint account to sole

Hi all, is it possible to change an account from joint to sole with the consent of both the owners of the account? I could not find a proper form for it in BOI webpages. Thanks Regards

Hi Tore,

You cannot change a joint account to a sole account. One option to do this could be to close the joint account and then open the sole account in whichever name you wish. If you contact your nearest Bank of Ireland branch, a representative can go through the options with you and discuss the best option for you.
