    Can someone recommend me a good brown scone recipe please?

    I like this one, although they are quite sweet:

    Sometimes I leave out the sugar and put in a pinch of chilli flakes instead.

    Nice one elbee.
    Some additions(all optional/varied) i like are rolled oats/wheatgerm/branflakes/variety of seeds depending whats in the press.
    A local friend gives me duck eggs,i like to pop one in at times and whisk thru the buttermilk first before mixing, just hold back a little liquid to allow for volume of egg, makes for a lovely soft brown bread.

    The chilli flakes, i have not tried...yet :)

    Thanks for the replies. I ended up making the Odlums ones and they turned out nice. I would never have thought of putting Chilli Flakes into them. It sounds nice.
