you still get the bbc on the main epg.
just to confirm channel 5 etc is to be found doing a manual scan in other channels along with the channel'4 and itv's.

In addition a freesat from sky card would give you a uk epg with all the uk terrestial channels on the epg. I have one and there is no problem swapping between the two cards, takes a little time for th epg to update.

Thanks but I was hoping that all the UK fta channels would be on it. Swapping the card in & out is not a practical option for me as the box will be upstairs & tv is downstairs.

the only thing i'll say if your using your sky box as a fta box and you just want the sport, you are avoiding a multi room subscription and just paying the BT subscription. Some of the posters here have said that it is only small money extra to have bt on two boxes. So get it on your main sky box use the second box as a fta box and pay the multi room think its €2.99 xtra.

Yeah thanks was thinking about that too. The only thing is that the second sky box will need the card(which is ordered) so it would still only have a few of the fta channels with the card in. I'd never get to see any sport on the main tv (too many soaps :-))

I'm only using my sky hd box for the sport, the rest i can watch on my combo box.

Re Setanta and ariva 120 box.....I've been using BAI card for good while. Called Setanta today subscribed @20 per month but hasn't worked yet after 2 calls and 2 tries. Whatever about anything else it appears ariva 120 isn't capable of decrypting in this manner

Was the card decrypting channels before today?
If yes then it appears to be capable ......

..... maybe Setanta requires the card to be registered in some fashion?

Card decrypts free t view element of sSetanta etc all the time but won't decrypt the paid element even after two tries at pinging the card

    I don't understand what that means :(

It was my understanding that the same encryption scheme is used on all those channels, which is why I doubt it is the (in)ability to decrypt that is causing the problem.

I was told twice they were sending the signal to activate the card, it hasn't worked either time. As card appears to work I'm assuming box is the issue.
If anyone here has used these boxes to access these services via card I'd appreciate any help. Else ill be canceling immediately

GET A SKY BOX. skybox + sky card + sub= setanta channels.

This has been gone over so many times.

Once you get a sky card off setanta it HAS to be paired to the sky box its in or else it wont work.

    Did you read the thread?

Your only option is getting a second hand sky hd box off adverts.ie and pairing it to the card by calling setanta.

    Remember HD channels are included
