Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm not being paid £7m a year but seems to me it would make sense to make a new bid for Cabaye and y'know, try play him on Sunday?

You mean bench him on Sunday.

    So for Sunday:
    Woj
    Sagna Mert Kosc Gibbs
    Wilshere Ramsey
    Walcott Rosicky Cazorla
    Giroud

Subs: Fabianski, Jenkinson, Monreal, Flamini, Sanogo, Miyaichi, Frimpong (?)

Its not too bad, no attacking impact from the bench though..

    Geoff Arsenal ‏@GeoffArsenal 4m
Arsenal are ready to spend 40m on German international.
    Expand

    wut? Gundogan? Bender?

Can't see Dortmund selling Gundogan to a CL competitor. So won't be him imo.

Has to be Ozil or Draxler. Gundogan and Bender are fantastic but I think you'd get a bid accepted for them for £30m, let alone £40m.

EDIT: the tweet has been deleted. Hmm...

Really you'd want Arsenal to waste 40 million on Thomas Muller. He's worth half max and that is only based on reputation. He's good but not enough to make your marquee signing.

In fairness Geoff and Dean are reliable they called numerous things right over the years such as the 40 million Suarez bid this summer. Just not there fault the club make a habit of fcuking things up.

Our wee Flamini back with us.... I'm quite excited in truth. Old interview with the bbc when he was with Milan for a year. The man could add a bit of spice to the dressing room.

What's wrong with his head though! Teams keep letting him go. There's no doubting his footballing ability and he's going to give the protection that you guys crave in the middle. What's the story though. Has he got a rotten attitude , someone who falls out with everyone or what!

    Lets his contract run down?

As far as I know, Milan offered him a new contract and he declined. Same when he left us, I'm sure we'd have offered him a new contract. Nothing wrong with his head I reckon.

Perhaps he gets bored of the one club and wants to move around a bit. Or perhaps he enjoys the inflated wages that free agents get given.

Imagine the team ye'd have if ye didn't sell your best players?

Flamini and Fab and Song in midfield, RVP up front.

I don't understand. Arsenal offered him a big contract with big wages by Arsenal standards at the time and he turned them down and moved to Milan.

His contract expired last year and Milan convinced him to stay one more year. Now, he decided to leave and is here.

He seems to stay committed to his contract, if anything. Never heard of him being disruptive at all.

The Mirror's headline - 'Arsenal fear Wenger will spend NOTHING on transfers this summer' - is indicative of a situation where Wenger is now bigger than the club itself.

    Flaimini.....meh

    4 days.

The next 3 days will either make or break AW as manager of Arsenal FC. If we sign nobody then i reckon the fans will turn on him and we all know the manager wont last long if thats the case. He could pull a few rabbits out of a hat yet though and sign a few high profile players in the next couple of days.............Fingers crossed its the latter!

The worrying thing is that we're being linked to nobody in the last couple of days. The di Maria thing is quiet. Not looking good. Anyway, mate of mine is going to the game with his Yid mate. Hope its an afternoon to remember.

Fans will only turn on him if their is a blip in results and we are not fighting for the top. If he manages to get results no one will say anything.

Have any sort of bad run though and he will be under a horrible amount of pressure, which is fair as he hasn't strengthened so far given the choices he had this summer.
