Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Today's match was a perfect example to show to people who say Mert isn't good enough due to his lack of pace. His positional play was brilliant.

Those damn ex Liverpool players turn pundits need to shut it. Carragher was so biased today towards Liverpool at least Neville has his in check and criticise Utd.

Flamini looked great today, hoping he can continue in the same way. Could be an absolute bargain from Wenger. Kept the team organised and calm for the most part

You know, says he, Mertesacker or whatever his name is, he's a big donkey too

shut up brother, you don't know what you're talking about!

As a former Tipp manager once said "You wont win derbies with donkeys' :D

And he was right. We didnt win the derby with donkies we won it with thoroughbreds :)

Lets face it, they were all great. Watching the last 10-15mins was gut wrenching but we defended like terriers. Ive never seen an Arsenal team close down and chase after the opposition like this one since our 2004 team.

I saw Spurs had lots of possession today but thought, maybe 2-3years ago, we would have scored, had most of the possession and completely outplayed spurs, but would not have been able to hold onto the 3points for 70mins. This team defended fantastically well today as a unit.

Sure souness sitting there after the match claiming arsenal will finish behind spurs even though we just beat them, can't stand him.

PSG have just bid for Ozil.

If we get Ozil, rumors Madrid will use the money to fund the Suarez deal.

    Isco
    Bale
    Ronaldo
    Suarez

    Unreal.

He's sitting there saying Arsenal are one of my favourites then say's we get overlapped by the Spuds. Carragher couldn't hide his hate for Arsenal and is now looking silly after writing Arsenal off. I'm telling you they can't get over 89 after we pipped them to the league.

They couldn't possibly let us down again after Higuain, could they??

I pity for us arsenal fans if this doesn't happen, can we take much more disappointment, with everything we have been through this summer!

probably not. If the bid is accurate, I'd give them that they really tried. £42m is a lot of money.

I hope we do make at least some of the signings that are being talked about tonight - if just for the guys who'll come in tomorrow morning and ask "I've been away for a few days and see 50+ pages - hoping we signed someone! ... probably not though"

    Imagine the smile ;)

Real are a bit of a joke to be honest. They are like a nerd who just has to have the latest gadget and gets sick of the gadgets he already has despite their usefulness.

Capoué could face a very long time on the sidelines.

The poor 9 million spent on him!

A lot of reports now saying United were in for him but he turned them down we offered more money an extra 2 million a year.

Now wouldn't that be a nice turnaround if it's true.

@wayneveysey: Those 3 Arsenal deals I wrote/tweeted about early this afternoon? Obviously Ozil, Viviano. The 3rd is a striker. Details to come.....

My guess is Ba or someone like that as a backup.

I do think Tottenham bought well but the problem with what they are doing is that their squad needs time to settle. Will Levy allow AVB that time is the big question?

If true I think Steven Gerrard just went up a notch in my estimation.

So apart from Ozil do you think we buy more top players by tomorrow? or will he be our only buy?

At least Gerrard has a little class, not like that other fella
