Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Latin American journalist Martín Charquero has tweeted that Suárez is "very close to signing for Arsenal.” He was the journalist that did the interview with Suarez in January where he slammed the press. Apparently, he is also the same journalist that first reported Coates to LFC and Cavani to PSG...

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BPzGbdKCcAAlQKs.jpg:large if this is real then it appears he has. Still seems so unlikely though..

Utd moving pretty fast in fairness to them.

They are struggling just as much as us at the minute.

This week transfer wise feels more positive - hope sh*t gets done in some form by the end of the week. Throw the dog a bone and all that.

Would it be a Saint Bernard he's buying?

I said as much to a buddy today. It should be jazzier. Brazilians seem to have given up on their funky names. I blame Fred.

very recently you are probably right, long term I'd guess they have spent a fair bit more than us. Over the years they've proven they can get big deals done.

Now I think of the few big money players they have bought over the years Rooney/Ferdinand/Veron/Berba they probably have spent a fair bit more than us. I dunno if I could put Anderson and Nani in that bracket, though I have a feeling they cost €30m between them. It wouldnt surprise me if that very is way off.

And to cheer you up, Sp*rs have agreed terms with Soldado and that's expected to come through tomorrow.

And there wasn't a word about that.
And they weren't afraid to spend.
They bought a plethora of players in this window while we got a freebie.

Fair play they seem to get good players considering no champions league.

That's a real sickner to be honest, but you have got to hand it to Levy he seems to be the modern day David Dein. Soldado is some finisher thats a great signing

John cross who's over on the Asia tour says we're bidding 40m for suarez tomorrow.

him and Bernie would bolster our attack. need a defender though too.looking short at CB.

On another note good to see the doom and gloom return

Real sold him for only €4m in 2008, hopefully there's no sell on clause...

I was talking this pre-season. I'm well aware that they have spent more than us over the years. Everyone has!

Why do people believe opposing team rumours as gospel and ours to be slowing haggling deals

Very little has happened outside of Man City

Maybe we are coming to the end of our tether and we want to see a few quality acquisitions, players that will come straight into the club and immediately strengthen our starting XI.

    Spurs haven't signed Soldado yet.

If we take the reports as true, then we have signed Higuain already.

That being said, he may very well sign for them but there is no way that it can be called a finished deal, especially after all the "Reports" Arsenal fans have seen this Summer.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,428 ✭✭✭.jacksparrow.

Can't we just hijack spurs deal for soldado!
