Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey if ya need to rant, then rant if we all agreed this place would be fairly boring

True that, but too much negativity can be soul destroying, just want to enjoy the new season now, bring it on!

I'm going to be positive from here on in, feck it, ill end up supporting the team regardless once that ball kicks off against villa!

Aye bring on the start of the season.

Hope we make bits of Napoli today. It would be a nice tonic.

    Thanks.

Setanta just isn't worth it. Especially with some matches available online for eircom customers.

Might go for one of the paid streaming sites this year!

Al Jazeera Sport has the rights to all PL games this year, and has the rights to Serie A, La Liga, Ligue 1, Championship, Champions League, World Cup and World Cup qualifiers, intl friendlies, Spanish, English, Italian, German and French cups; Brazilian league, Argentinian league, Russian league, Eredivisie. Everything bar Bundesliga, which is free to air in Qatar.

Around €15 a month with their online subscription too. Buy a VPN that has Egyptian IP included (Express VPN) and you're sorted.

Note for Mods: There's nothing illegal about what I've just posted.

A vpn is a great little device that makes Facebook & youtube etc think im not in China. Similarily express VPN is the name of a vpn which allows you to set it so that your IP adress matches that of one from Egypt (not all VPNs would specifically allow you choose an Egyptian vpn, mine does not for example, but then again it only costs me 15rmb a month!) according to that earlier post and therefore you are able to use AL Jazeera. I'll plead ignorance and assume that as the poster said this is all above board etc

I can't understand the bits in bold. What are VPN's, Express VPN's and IP's?

A VPN is a virtual private network, it allows you to use a different country's IP - so if your computer thinks your internet is being used in the UK, you'll have free access to BBC iPlayer etc. With a VPN subscripton you'll be able to connect to and disconnect from many different country IPs whenever you want.

So for example, Al Jazeera Sport will not broadcast coverage to people outside the Middle East. But if you use a VPN service, you have the choice of many different country IPs - including Egypt - to connect to. Express VPN is the service I pay for.

If you buy an Al Jazeera Sport subscription and connect to an Egypt IP, then you want to watch games on it. And Al Jazeera Sport is crazy value.

Is he? I've seen that Andy Gray and Martin Tyler are making the move. CL team too is good, Lineker etc.

What type of quality could one expect when streaming through this VPN?

I would imagine that a lot of people would have the same idea when the sub is only €15 a month + whatever the VPN costs. Could the VPN handle this at peak times?

I've tried a few services and they are usually great until the football starts and then they fall over under the strain.

Arsenal team vs Napoli: Fabianski - Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs - Ramsey, Wilshere - Gnabry, Rosicky, Podolski - Giroud

Arsenal bench: Sagna, Arteta, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Akpom, Martinez, Miquel, Zelalem

Seems we'll be seeing Sanogo and Santi tomorrow.

If we sign Suarez I will leave this forum forever, because I know some people don't agree with my negativity, prove me wrong please.

So that's you, an Arsenal supporter who will leave the forum if Arsenal sign Suarez.

Me, a Liverpool fan who will leave the forum if Arsenal sign Suarez.

Let's hope it doesn't come to that so :D :pac:

I taught he only did France games and the World Cup/Euro's.

Well I live in Qatar so Al Jazeera Sport is a service I use without VPNs although I used the Egyptian IP to test it out a few days ago and I didn't encounter any problems. Also I'm sure a stream from a huge business such as Al Jazeera would be more stable than most.

My advice is to go with a rolling monthly plan for Express VPN and Al Jazeera Sport and see what you think of the quality during the match. Apparently Express VPN have a 30 day guarantee too.

Bear in mind that although the Al Jazeera Sport website mentions yearly subscriptions, I recieved an email this week to inform me that it will soon only be monthly.

EDIT: i only signed up to Express VPN because porn is blocked here but it's turned to be very handy - US Netflix is much better!

No he does CL too. (EDIT- Lineker I mean, never heard Wenger). They had Harry Redknapp for a Spurs game last season, surrounded by pundits wearing traditional robes.
