Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mertesacker channelling his inner Terry and running away from the guy with the ball to defend on the line. :P

    Fabianski and Jenkinson lethal combination

Giroud trying far too many blind flicks, just hold the ****ing thing up.

Playing similar pukeball that worked well towards the end of last season against poor teams.

Don't be so negative lads. We can challenge for the EPL.

I wonder would a good hiding encourage Wenger to buy a few players?

Wenger wont have seen the hiding. And sure Napoli aren't in the premier league! Arsenal can still challenge! :P

Probably, but not today. The 8-2 mauling led to our trolley dash. Although it should have never came to that for either scenario.

    It's pre season ffs

I doubt it, we barely qualified for the CL, ands still have to get to the league proper. Not at all confident, I hope that changes.

We could easily get them in the Champs League though once we qualify I'm sure they won't be top seeds will they

Napoli are in pre-season as well...

Gervinho has officially moved to Rome. Hope he has a better time in Italy than he had in England. Surely new signings are on the way. That's some clear-out now

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,300 ✭✭✭HazDanz

Lovely by Ramsey but Podolski should have just went for it

We don't no what block of training any of the teams are in or anything

I remember a time ya wouldn't even no if they were playing a pre season game

    Ramsey looks excellent.

Ok we have to try something else. All we are doing when we get into good positions is kicking the ball across the box to nobody. Pure gutter football.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

We are close to season kick off though and that was muck. Plus that's not far off the first 11.

You have too look and worry

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,500 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

Ramsey, koscielny and Rosicky have all done well imo. Some good moments from Gnabry and he was probably closest to scoring.

Bit all over the place in both defense and attack though at times.

Not really it's a friendly can never judge a team in a friendly that goes for international and club level.

Bit silly to be judging a team based on a friendly, I'll start judging from the first game of the season. This is just a weekend to enjoy watching Arsenal play since we've been starved of it for a while.

That's just excuses coaches use pal, you are watching the team coming to the end of pre season the earlier heavier stuff will have been done by now.

This team is almost fully ready those excuses wash mid July

Where did I judge the team or the season.

It's okay to think a half was ****e

Have to agree, also we have seen this type of performance too many times last season.

Too many excuses been made about training and it's only a friendly crowd. This is the same problem's this team had during last season and our manager think's one big signing will solve this. Wake up guy's we need signing's fast cause this team will suffer.

How to we no they not in a middle of a strength block or doing extra conditioning

We're still two weeks out so that's quiet possible

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,300 ✭✭✭HazDanz

Fcuk me it's a friendly game! No need to get all your knickers in a twist.

You said you have to look and worry I don't think you do, it's a friendly nothing more it's a warm up for the season ahead for players to increase there match sharpness and fitness.

If they play like that in the first game of the real season I will begin to worry but not before then.

Toda I'm just enjoying watching some non pressure results don't matter football much like how I guess many of the players on the pitch view today.

Fcuking ridiculous everyone up in aheap over a pre season friendly

Our second team were beat 7-0

    The whole club is fcuked

We don't but it is just an excuse, same way we don't know where Napoli are. You would think training was organised with the tournament in mind so nothing too mental could have been done plus this is a PR exercise they want to go well.

Anyway it was a **** first half maybe this will be better

Ok you can put any positive spin on it you like others will go full negative I'll sit in the realistic middle with my medium comment that I worry looking at half number 1

Weren't we all celebrating a 7 nil against some Indonesian Dream Team.

The booing of Higuain is a bit odd

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,751 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

Hargreaves been good as a commentator. Overall the play hasn't been bad but Podolski and Giroud have been horrid. Hoping to see Ox centrally in this game.

Yep, boo the board. The player publically stated he wanted to join.

In fairness I don't remember anyone saying that at all, I remeber a few saying there a nothing team though and it wasn't really any kind of test but the heat and humidity be good for the players fitness.

In fairness a lot have used those games to say the team looks great and full of confidence. We fall too down today and now it's only a friendly
