Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ramsey playing brilliant, really hope he proves me horribly wrong.

Me too he's really playing well and I am his biggest critic.

Who's the fella with the glasses beside Wenger?

    AFAIK I know thats Brian O' Driscoll's cousin ;)

We would be mad to let Sagna's contract run out.

defense is looking very very solid so far. it's a pity about sze though

City playing dirty cause they look frustrated, please no injuries.

Ramsey's been playing well for months. I surprised many only seen his class now.

Does anyone get worried when they see Wilshire fall to the ground.

Not the biggest fan of Podolski up top. Looks a bit lost up there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,216 ✭✭✭Looper007

City looking dangerous up forward. Silva and Toure are class.

Did well last season, no reason he can't take it up a notch this season. Him and Wilshere with full seasons could be special.

Drops far too deep he may be better suited playing in the hole behind the main striker but we have far too many players for that position.

Lacks pace and skill for me. Good backup but we are lacking up front.

Pod just won't cut it up top on his own, needs to
    Play off a man.

We've looked much the better team so far , I find it suprising we're playing a team like City one of our main rivals and a big physical side a week before the season starts

Not surprising as we have the same team we had last season. City look far more dangerous up forward but are bedding in new players. So i'm not surprised we are playing better.

Think he is more suited to two up front. Like he was scoring goals anytime he played up top so I can't be too critical.

Would like to see how zelalem fairs in this kinda company

Definitely getting ahead of myself, but with the team playing like this and adding even 2 quality signings we could win the league!

    Great midfield and Defence.

But seriously lacking a top striker. That's what I take from the first half. City's defence looks very good.

It's only a friendly. I think you are a little bit. But a few signings I think we be strong enough to win the EPL.

    City playing very dirty.

That's why I think a pacey Centre back is a must cause teams with pace will catch Mertesacker out.

Good first half there. Nearly everyone playing well. Kos letting nothing past him!

Many postives from that first half

Our Midfield and Defence look very good.

Sez and Pod look the weakest on the pitch.

Kos looks a beast. Wilshire and Ramsey look like they are turning into a good partnership. Sagna looks very good. Areta is solid. Ox and Walcott are doing fine.

Agree we need a top quality striker. City are loaded with them. Evening leaving two off the team. The forward line is my major worry for us.

It's not looking to downtrodden as I taught. Still think the forward line needs a top world class player, Pod and Giroud lack it for me.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,756 ✭✭✭emergingstar

Just wanna point out city's most creative player is silva playing on the left but drifting in finding space

That exactly what santi does for us and why he should stay there

    Great post.

People are also forgetting that our trophy drought, though partly due to squad strength, is also due to perfectly good players bottling every chance that's come their way for more than half a decade.

    Not that great at all.
I could pick holes in it.
The most glaring one is not having a proper DM for the last few years.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,756 ✭✭✭emergingstar

We need a WC striker and a WC playmaker

Add a cesc to this team and we would car a very very good team

Don't think we need a DM been honest

I'd love a centre forward like Antonio Di Natale up front for us a tricky little player who is lethal in front of goal.

If he was a few years younger he'd be a great singing. But yeah we need a strong tricky forward who will take his chances.

A CM is more of a priority than a playmaker for me. I reckon Wenger is going to use Wilshere in the 10 again this season as the midfield looks too porous when he's in the midfield 2, and we've got Rosicky there too.

Arteta tends to struggle against the bigger sides and at any rate, himself, Ramsey, Wilshere and Diaby is a fairly thin set of options anyway.

Anybody know why the game is on in Finland?

Areta gets a injury, I think we do. We haven't even got a replacement I don't think.

City a bit over the top with the late stuff. We don't need injuries.
Anyone know who is on the bench?
