Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can't remember the last time I saw a trialist play in a proper match.

I'm happy he's getting a shot like this its better than signing a park or Santos and then realizing they're not good.

Ramsey if he plays like he has at the end of the season, he be on the top of the list for big clubs.

Ramsey and nasri giving the daggers there!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,756 ✭✭✭emergingstar

    Good final workout

    Happy with that

Very Good performance. Ramsey, Kos and Walcott standing out.
Still think we need signings upfront, CB and DM. But the side looks top notch.

The diving side I didn't like. Watch out for him he's going to be involved in something major this season.

Not selling our best player is fun.

Got to say we got a great deal out of Nasri. Looks a very average play since joining City.

At least we can be safe in the knowledge that our squad can only become stronger. Hopefully it will happen soon.

I don't think we have a "best player" anymore. We have a group of talented players, but I don't think we have a Henry or a Cesc who stands out like we had before. Not saying this is a bad thing really as it means we're not so dependent on the form of one player.

Don't get carried away lads. Nice to win but i'd prefer 3 points next week.

Impressed with Ramsey and Ox today and the fact that we pressured the ball when we hadn't possession. Good work ethic that I want to see carried into the season.

We're a team now unlike Madrid who depend on Ronaldo and Barcelona with Messi.

That's because he was always average bar one good 6 month spell, even when Walcott was getting slated week in week out by Arsenal fans he was still getting more goals and assists than Nasri.

My only fear, and I'm loathe to be negative after that, is that AW will point to that being evidence the team is strong enough. Hopefully he's not that naive.

I'm not getting carried and I doubt many are. Still think we need strengthen in certain areas but with a few singings we could win the EPL.

I agree with you on that. He only had that half a season in later 2010. The later half 2011 he faded away.

Having an outstanding talent does not make you any less of a team.

I think we should be fine for the 1st few games and should have no problem with Fenerbache either going by pre season , But yeah we still need a few additions hope to feic the gustavo thing is true he'd be an immense signing for us

Not as headline grabbing as suarez or higuain but just as important in my view

I think it does though is some circumstances. Look how all our players really stood up to be counted when RvP left. We were nowhere near as solid a team when we relied on his goals.

    How did the trialist do?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,428 ✭✭✭.jacksparrow.

Ok, few nice touches but also a few poor ones, but not bad.

Picked up a yellow card and looked like John Rambo other than that didn't really get to see enough of him

Have to say I agree. He is an intensely frustrating player to watch, he always just seems to take that extra touch, or delay a pass and more often than not gets caught in possession. Not been impressed with him one bit and I'd expect him to get fewer games for us this season.

You know both of those teams would batter the **** out of us, right?

    City to struggle this season.

They bought a bnch of second rate Spaniards, just like they did last season with Javi Garcia.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,483 ✭✭✭brianregan09

I'm not sure they'd both batter us at all :/, Bayern Munich battered Barca and we came close to beating them

Think what he is saying is that Barca without Messi is a shadow of the team with him in it.
But yeah they would still clatter us.
