A quick question for all you people queuing up....

What is the point in leaving your warm home to stand in the cold at 12 on a Tuesday night (when all pre-orders will be honoured for 48hours anyway; plus the fact that the biggest launch title of the last 5 years will not sell out) and to come home to play for what?......4/5 hours before you're wrecked and have to sleep? At 2am the novelty will have worn off....

When you can just go to bed now, wake up and get it in Tesco at 6am or anywhere else at 8am and then have the whole day to play it??? Sure, if you p-lay it tonight....you're not going to be up until at least lunch tomorrow anyway???

    Whats the point?

how is there a national sell-out of XBOX360 copies in Gamestop on pre-orders yet others have 300 copies on shelves?
would they not be more prepared for demand on the most anticipated game in years?

Could be how much stock gamestop were allocated. Then again it's just a rumour like I said. Plus hmv isn't open long so not many may have pre-ordered with them.

if that's the case then what's the point in queing for an Apple Ipad / Iphone or queuing for the latest book launch or New console or movie?

I believe your personnel opinion isn't going to spoil the fun for people joining in on the buzz of the wait and the great mood in the queue, what harm is this good bit of entertainment news.

I'm not standing, I'm sitting. In doors too. I have nothing else to do and I'm probably going to be up till 3am anyway. I don't have a preorder and since I'm off work all this week it would suck if I missed the first batch of stock and had to wait a week to get it.

So for me it's a perfect storm of circumstances. Never done this before unlikely to ever do it again.

Could be answered already but how long will each store be open for? Like from 12 - 12.30/1...probably depends on the amount of people I'm guessing? Never been to a midnight release.

Cos being a grown up mostly sucks with boring stuff to look forward to, and it's a bit of craic to have with other people, seeing grown adults in full blown "waiting for santa" mode is fun. I miss this about working in retail tbh, big releases were always good fun to be working for.

Well after being unexpectedly working from Belfast today currently in the game queue, at least 3 to 400 ahead of me (arrived just before 11) and another 100 behind me. Gonna be a long wait..... And it's bleeding BALTIC!!!

Glad I ordered it from gamesnash, would'nt fancy queuing out in the cold for a few hours, fingers crossed the postman will have it for me tomorrow morning.

Have it Paid for and Pre-ordered in Game Stop but I won't be going in tonight to pick it up. Ill pick it up in the morning after the Gym and Play it for a few hours before the football tomorrow night.
