Tracing Relations. Scallan-Rowe

I am doing some family tracing at the moment and maybe somebody could help please. Elizabeth Maud Scallan or Scallon was born 1887 in Wexford. Her parents were Thomas Scallan and Johanna Rowe. She emigrated to Canada where she married a Nicholas Barron. They had a son Nicholas also. They moved to San Francisco. She had a niece in Bray, J O'Connor. If anybody can help here please it would be great.

Just to add an address of Upper John Street, Wexford was mentioned on some document.

As you say not Elizabeth's mother but still interesting as with the name Johanna it could very well be a cousin. Thank you for sharing that. Are Rowe and Scallan common names to Wexford area?

Yes pretty much so....in that there are tonnes of Rowes and Scallans around the county

Yes that Johanna Scallan is more than likely Elizabeths mother. Thomas the father may have been dead and theres a son also Thomas. Thank you for that.

Hopefully some Wexford townspeople can help you out - They are both popular surnames , and there is even a Rowe Street in the town .
