For anyone visiting the Dublin area, I strongly discourage you from visiting the National Leprechaun Museum on Jervis Street. It is the most ridiculous, cheesy, boring, and overpriced museum you will ever encounter! You'd think it's stupid name alone would indicate this, yet foreign tourists are attracted to it and think they're in for a magical adventure when it's really nothing but going through several rooms with a few cheap props and someone occasionally popping in to tell you an Irish story or legend that you could easily read or hear anywhere else. It plays up one of Ireland's biggest stereotypes to flamboyant proportions in order to suck money out of ignorant and naive foreign tourists. Not only that, the management is absolutely atrocious; they have no idea what they're doing or how to run a business and deal with customers or employees. This museum is a despicable representation of Irish culture and history and if you go, you'll be thoroughly disappointed and out about 12 quid or more. This museum should have been shut down a long time ago or should never have been opened in the first place!
