Laptop only works sporadically on wireless

At home I have 2 laptops: a macbook air and a compaq presario v6000. The macbook air is either working very very slowly with the eircom broadband, or else not working at all. The presario works at a good speed and is consistent. On other wireless networks the macbook air is very fast, the problem is only with the home…
