    Course Description
    The aim of the programme is to provide learners with key transferable employment skills, or to enable them to progress to further education and training. The transferable skills include an ability to communicate competently, both verbally and non-verbally. Learners will also develop relevant numeracy skills and the ability to design and implement action plans to assist them along their chosen career path. Throughout the programme learners will be given structured opportunities to gain greater knowledge of self and how to interact positively and effectively with others.

    This programme leads to a FETAC Level 4 Major Award in Employment Skills for learners who meet the award requirements.

    Target Trainee Profile
    Age Requirements The training programme is suitable for young adults over 18 years of age.
    Educational Qualifications Junior Certificate or higher preferred
    Aptitude Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills.

    Personal Skills
    We are looking for people who show a genuine interest and enthusiasm in learning, and who are punctual and committed to attend training.
    Previous Experience N/A
    Special Requirements
    D or higher in Junior Certificate English and Maths

    This full-time course is FÁS funded, and will be of 31 weeks duration and is due to commence on Monday 5th August 2013 (this is subject to change).

    The course venue is Unit 14 BEaT Centre, Stephenstown Industrial Estate
    Balbriggan Co. Dublin. Those interested should register with FÁS, and register on this particular course; course code BLB6C.
