    quick question;

why was Henry talking about arsenal seeing saurez contract & saying it should've been kept confidential?

if he literally means what he says there, that implies arsenal have seen it & think there's a clause if they made the bid of 40mil & a pound, does it not?

and the PFA have said it's not 'iron-clad' and open to 'interpretation'

Put it this way, you would never see the contract that I have signed with my company, if you did, how?

And he is implying that agents are too diruptive and the source of this.

    Anyway,

Here's a good deal. Not sure if it's open to Ireland though

Debatable whether thats a good deal. The required bet is £45.

I like that starting 11. But Assaidi is going to on loan to QPR, so he defintiely wont be in the squad.
I think that Assaidi is a good player, I think we have seen that, but he's more of an out and out winger that hugs the line. So he doesnt really suit how we line out.

Player is not keen on going to QPR it appears. He was interviewed for Dutch tv and said that he would prefer a move to one of Feyenoord or Anderlecht, and that the former have also made an offer to either buy or loan him.

Going by the tv interview, it seems that terms have been agreed between QPR and Liverpool for the loan deal, but that the player is waiting to see how things pan out with the other offers before commiting himself.

Yeah, I did hear that Anderlecht were the favorites, and all parties were keen, just a case of the 2 clubs being at 2 different figures. Then QPR vultured in.

Interestingly, against Valarenga, his best moments were when he came inside. Two lovely flick offloads in the box, one for Stevie who shot over, and one for Sterling's goal. He's definately a player who could get a hat-full of MOTM awards at a lower level, he's all about attacking and trying to make something happen. Not unlike Sterling and Ibe, but at their age, they can be moulded to our style better.

In Holland he used to cut inside and run atthe defence on a very regular basis. A lot of his goals there came that way. It is part of his game already, and I think if he did end up going to QPR over Feyenoord, then he could well add to his selling value as he has the quality to do well with a run of regular games.

i know the two ways it could've happened

    a) guardiola (isn't it?) tells arsenal there's that clause

    b) guardiola shows them the contract, arsenal reckons there's a clause

that's why i said literally means what he says, which is option B

so i was trying to find out if anyone knows if there's some clause, there has to be you'd think if it's B, so what exactly is it?

Don't care if his apology is as sarcastic as father jacks if he starts scoring like last season all is forgiven

Dont know about that. Have we so little self respect that we will tolerate literally any behaviour ?
I would find it very difficult to cheer him on now anyways

yea i guess your right. i would just like to wipe that smug grin off wengers face

in relation to your question the clause if there is one could be anything. id say its a wording thing. if the clause can be read differently it would mean its written in a way that it doesnt mean anything

for example: if a bid of more than 40 million pounds is made to liverpool fc. then liverpool fc must inform mr suarez to make him aware of negotiations for his services.

in a way something like that could be read as a bid of over 40 million triggers negotiations for suarez but also it could be easily read that it just lets suarez know that a bid was made. it depends on what side you want the outcome to be. im not saying this was the clause or that there even is one but if there is id imagine its something along those lines.

id say myself though that it wasnt a clause but the "understanding" that he could go for more than 40 million if we didnt get champioins league. id say that his agent approached arsenal after the first bid and told them that, and told them liverpool would likely sell for that price as they would be happy with the profit

Ah sure that doesn't matter, Liverpool Fulham Dempsey last season?

I seem to recall Liverpool were forced to issue a formal apology to Fulham over that to stop them being reported to the PL. Every club does it to some extent or another, absolutely, but it is against the rules.

It doesn't matter now anyway it seems, let's move on and get back to hoping Spurs/Utd do badly in the coming season. We'll all be friends and be happy when Arsenal finish 3rd, Liverpool 4th, utd 5th and spurs 6th.

    Yes, that's likely, definitely ;)

another fact: coca cola where not the original ones that made santa red

they started running an ad campaign featuring the red suit that was originally drawn by some german dude almost 100 year prior

i dont care if he cares what i think. i think he is smug and over rated. he has been a brilliant manager in the past and he has done amazing for you guys but he should have went up stairs years ago. the man should always be held in high regard at your club but he ran out of ideas years ago and his stubborn approach to football is keeping ye from winning anything.

fact is that if arsenal dont get suarez then he will probably sign an unknown lad

years ago he was able to sign gems but these days its more arshavin, gervinho, park, chamack and santos rather than viera and henry

id bring in someone new possibly at the end of this year. bring in pep or klopp and give wenger full control of the youth development at arsenal

Suarez and Guardiola have vastly Miscalculated this, since Day 1.

They really have Overesitmated Suarez' Appeal to other European Clubs.

There might have been more Suitors, if the Ivanovic Incident didn't happen. But it did happen.

It serves as a Painful Reminder to other Clubs, as to what they are dealing with.

And if History's not enough, the current Ongoing Saga, will make them take heed, that it has a tendency to Bite the Hand that Feeds it.

They should still get through without too many dramas I'd say, but not the easiest of draws alright. 4-2 on aggregate I'd say. 1-1 in the first leg in Turkey.

Nope will not happen. Has already been stated that if Fener get thrown out of the competition then another Turkish team will be taking their place.

Should really not make much difference either way to Arsenal though as they are more than good enough to put Fener or a lesser Turkish team to the sword.

    no the feeling is bliss

liverpool are in a great position. they have made some signings they are playing some of the best football in the country. they have a striker that ye want but cant have and things are looking bright.

arsenal have champions league that is the only thing that attracts players to the club and they cant even guarantee that after todays draw. but at least ye have a "huge transfer budget" was it 70 million??? pfft

Well if its competition it would be better for arsenal to beat them and Stay in the champions
League which would be a distraction from the league which will benefit Liverpool seems yous see us as top 4 rivals.

So go on tell me how arsenal going out of the champions league is great for Liverpool in terms of competition?
