Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Nice save mignolet

Miss about 10% of the game because of these ridiculous camera angle changes.

    Head spinning stuff.

I think Flanagan can have his uses, anyway.

Suggestion Flanagan will be loaned by the sound of it (Huddersfield or something), Spearing will be sold regardless of whether he likes it I expect.

Re: CL clubs coming for Coutinho.
Unless we get CL football we're not going to be able to attract the top class signings Mr.Alan is talking about. It's like a chicken and egg scenario. This season is going to be very important for LFC.

Ah, Aspas has done some nice things in the other games.

Borini's work rate has been impressive, but if he was a postman, he'd be sweating with not a letter delivered.

Anyone know the names of the commentators on the ESPN stream? I know the voice of one of them from somewhere but I can't remember who it is!

    ???

Played less than 180mins in a Liverpool jersey.

Give Aspas time lads, tis only pre-season.

Are you suggesting if he continues to impress as he is & we continue to be where are that he won't be considering his options if big CL clubs come knocking for him next year?

Christ you can't genuinely be that deluded :(

if our players play well, mr alan we might just qualify for the CL ourselves

Jim Beglin is one, ex pool and Ireland.

Thai tv director needs shooting, camera angles are woeful. Glad we got to see the goal though, just glad we weren't getting a close up of the corner flag or something at the time!

I like the look of aspas tbh, 2 goals already cant complain. Oh and hes been playing as a rw today. Hes a striker/cf

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,213 ✭✭✭pm1977x

Aspas scored a belter against Preston and just as this didn't make him the new Torres, his performances since haven't made him the new Dundee, a bit early to be judging him isn't it?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Get off Aspas back, he's scored twice and very nearly scored today. Maybe he is dropping deep on orders. The thing about pre-season is that its mainly about mix and match, seeing what works and what does not.

If we were allowed to post streams, then I'd be in the firstrow to give you one.

Borini not very inspiring on the wing.

Would like to see him play up front for a bit.

Less of your talking sense Mike, we've ordered our doom and gloom and we're damn well going to have it.

Is Borini on the right wing? If so no surprise he's not looking his best.

You're not gonna get the turning, beat a player and slot past the keeper type of player with Aspas.

He is more a 6yd box finisher. Turning in the 18 and finishing, or with the head from close range.

Something im sure why we scouted/bought him and what we have been short of.

If you wanna question anyone then ask why Rodgers is playing him out wide:(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,828 ✭✭✭gosplan

BRodgers deserved huge credit fir getting Coutinho and getting the best out of him straight away.

He was well known but not that highly thought of. Inter had loaned him out and were prepared to let him go.

Him and Aspas seem to be switching the wide areas which is even more worrying.

Inter were idiots but that's great for Liverpool fc. Wonder do they have any other fine players they can't see how to use correctly? ;)

I thought at one point I was going to get sick such is the wankery going on in the directors box.

Allen, Coutinho, Lucas, Mignolet and Borini have been quite lively.

I think so far this season we have looked more decisive with Ibe and Sterling on the flanks.

Aspas played Right Wing alot for Celta
Aspas is capable of beating players too

Get the money on the table for Goalgado or similar.

With no Suarez and Sturridge in the team we'll struggle big time for goals in the league.

We're Playing with a Front 3 like this:

    Coutinho-Borini-Aspas

But since Cou and sometimes Aspas likes to drop deep.

    We've looked like this

    Borini-Aspas
    Coutinho

    Or this:

    Coutinho-Borini
    Aspas

That's why when we Break, we have very few Players on the Box.
