Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Incredible reception for Jay Spearing.

    Suarez chant fairly loud, there.

Suarez hasn't really looked arsed in his cameo :(

Agger doing his best Spearing there.

From the club saying Suarez is not for sale, to Gerrard now saying it's up to Luis himself if he stay or not, it doesn't sound to hopeful

Seemed too busy trying to set Fowler up.

cheering Suarez that resoundingly seemed a little odd seeing as he might sue the club.

I don't think we'll be hanging on to him. The body language looked bad again today and the fact that Rodgers didn't start him says it all.

Ngoo on the bench for Yeovil.

Why would he be starting him today? He started the team we most likely will have going into the opening games of the season. Suarez is suspended. It's completely normal pre-season preparation.

I didn't see anything wrong with his body language. He put himself about, celebrated the goal etc. He looked a little off the pace in truth as clearly he isn't very far along in his pre-season prep as the other players.

Ah shame Rob didn't tuck away that chance set up by Stevie, would have been a perfect end to the game. Good auld game

I reckon Suarez, Downing, Borini, Skrtel, Spearing and Coates are on the way out. Now they are back in from tour, business is really going to pick up id say. Alot of activity in and out.

Squad could be unrecognisable by the time window shuts.

Not pinning my hopes on keeping Suarez. But Aspas looked good today.

I'd love to see Allen continue his form into the season and prove some people wrong.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,987 ✭✭✭Kerrigooney

I think it's pretty safe to say Mignolet isn't going to concede any goals this season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,267 ✭✭✭opr

Aspas looked very bright on occasions today. One thing I noticed during the other times I've seen him and today is that his first touch is very good. He's always looking to do something clever with it, whether it's laying it off, a quick turn or a shot.

Have to say I didn't see the Allen love at all today. He was better but that isn't saying alot. He got into some great positions in the box and pressed well but I thought he was so poor on the ball. I lost count of the number of times he played poor passes or dwell on it far too long. He was alright overall today but nothing more imo.

Not be happy that he would be contributing to the team?

Would have thought that was all the more reason to give him a few starts.

Nothing I hate more than a millionaire player sulking on the pitch in order to force a move.

When you look at it, Saurez signed the contract to play for Liverpool. The club backed him through all his a*seholery.

He'll be easily replaced for 40million.

Very harsh. The thing about Allen is that he will look to receive the ball in tight positions, so he will get caught at times.

He is still very young so all these things can be improved upon. Lucas gave the ball away a lot at that age also but he's developed so well that he rarely does now.

I think Allen will be an important player for Liverpool in the years ahead.

I agree with all of that except that part that he'll be easy to replace.

Dont let the media fool you into thinking Suarez is acting up, I didnt see anything any more petulant/sulking than he usually he is.

The suarez warming the bench cam, warming up cam, interviewing all the ex players about him its all a game. It was Gerrards day and they still go on and on about Suarez, iits just what they do.

Yeah you're right there. They'll only get 1 day out of the testimonial but weeks out of Suarez.

League over won by Christmas then :p

Given the club have now been linked with three left backs of variable type/quality you'd have to start to wonder how long Enrique has.

No, not with 22 points (2 wins and 16 0-0 draws).

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I am, no Higuain but a decent team. Glad Insigne is starting but a mix of of old and new in the team.
I hate this commentator, Ian Darke is it?

When they showed that little picture in picture box in my head another smaller box appeared next to Arsene's head with Suarez inside it.
    Too easy for Lorenzo.

Insigne capitalizing on an Arsenal defensive error. Napoli 1-0 Arsenal.

Hopefully that wakes Suarez up to his lifelong dream to play in a team alongside Jenkinson.
