Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Reina had been linked with them more than once in recent summers, but its probably due to stupid tribal thoughts buzzing around inside their heads.

    Almost 3-0 there.

Rafa has that team set up real nice. Great full backs for fast counters in Armero and Zuniga.

After Spain won the world cup they had a presentation in Madrid and Reina and a couple of others tried to put a Barcelona jersey on Fabregas, he was still an Arsenal player at the time.

Italy having a revival....erm they won the World Cup less than a decade ago.

It was more a case of Zidane lost a world cup.

Tbf he dragged them there and they never have gotten near one since. Cannavaro and Pirlo were immense there too. Dries Maertens coming on, is he related to eurogoals fave Maartin Maertens.

Remember how poor Liverpool could be from defending set-pieces under Rafa?

Except for Albiol, their other 2 RM acquisitions (Callejon, Higuain), seems to be in a Can't be Arsed Mood right now.

I think Rodgers is handling this well. People say he's sending out mixed signals, but I think it's just a case of the right signals to the right people. He's telling Arsenal he'll cost massive money (cleverly, not specified), which puts the ball in Arsenal's court, knowing they won't pay much more money than they've offered. It also probably gives Suarez the illusion that we're being slightly more reasonable about the prospect of him leaving, which we probably aren't. If Arsenal come back with "massive money" Rodger's can just say, "No, massiver, way more massiver".

After all that's been said by the club over the last month though, if Arsenal did come back in with 50+ million and it was rejected, Suarez would have an absolute kiniption. It a big offer comes in, I'd say it will be accepted.

Any takers on downing yet? Fortunately far down the pecking order at this stage.

Im gunna put this out there we should send Borini on loan to a premier league club. This kid has movement and awareness you just cant teach, he needs first team football and I just dont think he will get it with us for now. A run of games and goals and his confidence will rocket.

I would hate to see him sold after one injury ridden season, hes highly thought of in Italy.

Nec vs Groningen is on right now.

Tuned in late so I didn't see the Lineup, but I don't think Adorjan started.

    So far it's all NEC.

Going to be a barrel of laughs with Albiol and Skrtel thrown in. Llorente, if he does play should have a field day when Juve play them.

Their first or second game for Napoli in pre-season to be fair.

    New Player linked to us.

    Obligatory YT:

Almost forgot about this, asked a Polish (and football nut!) mate of mine about the player a couple of hours ago -
    Wojciech Malinowski @stingerpicks
@The_Ade_ What u need? Has football DNA (his father was playing for Atletico Madrid back in 90s and now is Polish Federation nr 2), cont..

    Wojciech Malinowski @stingerpicks
@The_Ade_ 2/2 Very speedy winger, but very weak physically. Average technique, needs a lot of space. Don't like lack of development this yr.

    Groningen 2-0.

I think Adorjan will have a hard time cracking this Side, unless he Plays a Different Position.

I don't know much about Groningen, but the Best Player so far in this Game, is their #10 Cherie (Spelling?) and he Plays CAM.

Tjarron Chery, regular goalscorer for ADO last season and signed by Groningen. Takes pens too i think.

Spurs?. Been watching it. In fairness they havent got any forwards on :pac:

Defoe, Adebayor, Bale, Vertonghen, Soldado etc all not playing for whatever reason, Dempsey gone. Best player for them has been Townsend imo. Think Monaco have all their 'big guns' playing. Fitness exercise for Spurs tbh.
