I spent €80 on an android box only about a month ago..

Looks like that might have been stoopid

Not stupid. There are a host of apps that can be put on an Android box.

    Hi,

I had the white box (until it crapped out on me). I have a few questions about the new one.

It will 99% be for use with plex, so I have the following questions:

    1. Can it direct play mkv (x264 High Profile, Level 4.1, 1080p 10-25 Mbps)?
    2. Can it decode Dolby Digital/DTS and output as 2 channel to a TV?

I run Plex on a ReadyNAS and it cannot transcode. I have a Samsung and an LG TV capable of direct playing these sources, but I have another older TV that I want to be able to stream to also.

    Cheers in advance.

Ok I have the now tv box with the voucher. When I try to sign up to activate the username online it blocks me as I'm from Ireland. I used a proxy to get around this but now it wants my credit card. I have a revolt one that I use but that doesn't work (I have no address registered to it). I thought PayPal might be an option but isn't. What do people do to get around this? Do you just have to use an Irish card?

My Irish Visa Debit has never caused me any problems

Cool thanks, what stopped me is that I was wondering if its safe when I'm using a proxy...I wouldn't be the most high tech when it comes to this!

Ah jaysus, this must be the PM thread

Thread could get closed for this, happened in other parts of boards, some mods a bit fun-spongey when it comes to this stuff

Same thing happened to me - do I need to care a text a new account or will using the entertainment pass on existing work?

Same happened to me, only got one day and my account was deactivated. I was using parcel motel address and AIB visa debit. Only way I found around it was to set up new account and use my brothers address in the UK and his visa card. Very annoying but it's been fine since then.

It's simple, if it's all above board it can be posted on the thread no need for PM's.

If it's not legit then the site should not be used to discuss it PM or not.

Back on topic please and no more requesting PM's

Out of curiosity what are your opinions of the new layout on the interface, i'm kind of mixed on it, every so often something will catch my eye and ill think hmmm i should watch that, other times i really wish they'd let me set the app screen as the default screen again.

Same here. I preferred the old layout. It's nive and all, but I can't access half the stuff shown, either by not have subscription access, or Region locks
