Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hopefully Derby can do it.

Come on Derby. Please please Derby. The idea of having to look at the conman twitcher for an entire season is awful.

Will McClaren have his umbrella out today? Rain is chucking it down at Wembley :pac:

    Come on Derby!!!

It would be fitting for MacClaren to return to the Premier League on a rainy day at Wembley.

    Why isn't Wembley's roof closed?

I think it has to be done a certain period of time before the game. The rain just started properly after that period of time expired.

Think it'll be a draw after 90 minutes. Hoping Derby win though.

Fancy Derby here. Will Hughes to run the show.

Only started raining in the last 20 minutes and like most roofs these days, it takes an hour to close the roof. Think the weather is meant to improve throughout the game.

But they'd have had the most up to date (hourly, probably) weather forecasts. Surely, they'd have known that the rain was coming and could have had the roof closed from early morning?

One for the folks at Wembley than me :)

I know it's the same case for Amsterdam Arena and Allianz Arena.

Derby losing their composure easily when under pressure.

  • Site Banned Posts: 26,456 ✭✭✭✭Nuri Sahin

Final ball is lacking for both teams, over hit crosses galore.

    Penalty - NOT!

Looked a stonewall penalty to me.

Not sure there was any contact. But it was a risky move by Dunnie.

    QPR are awful.

looked like dunne pulled his leg away just in time, is it just me or is dunne having a pretty good game here ?

Will Hughes loves to fall over.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Well it was never going to be anything other than a tight enough game - just too much at stake. One goal to decide it, probably QPR on the counter.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

George Thorne has looked impressive. Can't comment on how he has performed all season but if it's anything like he has today West Brom could have done with him in their side as opposed to loaning him out.

Seen it again a few times and it appears you're correct, it just shows what a difficult call it was for the referee to make when we've seen it a number of times but no one is 100% sure.

    Red! :D

O'Neill sent off, definite red card. Derby have to capitalise on this.

What's with Harry going with 2 up top? Ravel Morrison should have been playing.

    Really intelligent red that.

    Really good refereeing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Russell through on goal there and would likely have scored. O'Neill's foul could yet prove to be a good one, though it would be a massive shame to see them reward for such cynical play IMO.

Not enough to go on to judge him overall, but Hughes has been very much underwhelming in the few Derby games I've seen this season.

Even at this stage of his career Richard Dunne is still some man in the air.

For Will Hughes......read Giles Barnes. He looks good, but scratch beneath the surface and he's quite ordinary.

    I agree.

I admittedly only watch him when Derby are live on TV or when I watch The Football League Show, but there are very few times I've been impressed. Maybe it's just coincidence that he's rarely played well when I've watched though. Either way, talk of a £15m fee seems a hundred miles away from what he should be going for.

Jordan Henderson at the same age had played a full Premier League season scoring 2 goals and chipping in with 6 assists, for example.

QPR are going to win this on penalties. :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,477 ✭✭✭grenache

If Rangers can get to half time in extra time, without conceding, then I think they'll win on penalties.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

I agree, I think this one has a QPR win written all over it. It would be just typical. Goal from a set piece or a win on penalties to come.

Seriously, shocking quality with the final ball all game.

I know it's tough against 10 men but Derby have looked clueless in the final third.

    Bring on Sammon! :pac:

In a bizarre way the sending off could work in Rangers favour, derby don't have the tools to break down a packed defence.
