My gf is worried she cant have children. While were not planning on having any yet she feels upset over it. Can anyone here recommend a place 2 get a test done 2 make sure she can have children. We live in dublin. Thanks

First stop should probably be your GP - if they need to refer you to a fertility specialist they'll be able to help you with that.

It's really not as simple as getting a test done. If she has problems, chances are she won't know about it until she actually starts trying to get pregnant. I know couples who have been trying for years to get pregnant, with every test coming back clear, and still no success.

Usually doctors prefer not to even start testing until you've been trying to get pregnant for at least a year (maybe less if the woman is older.)

Is there anything that has happened that has caused her worry?

Even if she was 100% healthy and there were no problems, stressing and worrying about it can/may prevent her getting pregnant. She needs to stop worrying about it and when the time comes if its not happening then go to her GP and discuss it.

    Mod Note:

Moved to TTC, as it's more suited here, OP.

Please note that a new charter applies.
