Is it worth my while getting an Evic

Hi all, I have been happily vaping away on my ego twist and protank for the past couple of months.. The time has come to put an order in as I am out of Cigarillos and my coils are shot.. The major gripe I have though is my battery.. I chain vape and the twist doesn't last me long, it also gets very hot and generally spends too much time on charge...

I was thinking of getting a second twist to rotate so I can vape happily all day... But I was looking at the Evic and wondering what people thought... Is it worth my while in terms of Battery life and performance, or should I just go for the second twist... Thanks for your thoughts

I've been that soldier too. I've used Twists for ages and ages and they are great but the battery life is not great unless you buy a higher mah one and they are really long......I bought an mvp a few months ago and that is a cracking device. Lasts for about 3 days without topping up the charge and it's vv. Same size as a 10 pack of fags and can be used as a pass thru too.

The vision spinner 1300 is pretty good too in terms of battery life and its compact as well but there's a 7 sec cut off on it which bugs me.

I did buy an evic on the vapour store sale for 63 euro incl. the discount voucher because its such a good deal but I won't be able to pick it up for a week or so. I think I'll buy an 18350 tube as well though as the 18650 looks quite large. It has VW as well which I'm interested in trying.

I bought 2 evics in when they first came out and both died very soon on me.Maybe i was unlucky to get two crap Evics, but i won't be rushing out to get another.

    Maybe a Vamo?

Damn - that's not good. I have to say that the innokin mvp is a real little workhorse and its robust as hell too. I've dropped mine a few times and it didn't affect it at all.

    I just don't like the box shape......sad I know....

Strange about the evic, thats what I use most of the time even more than the Provari

The Vamo is so cheap and gets the job done. My SS Vamo has been on the go for 4 months now. And apart from one of the buttone jamming a little [still works, it's just kind of lost it's clicky-ness] it's still great.

Don't look to the V3 version, it's ugly and not as reliable I've found. Still prefer my original SS Vamo.

I do like the look of the Smoktech SID too though. Cheaper than the Evic, does pretty much the same thing.

    Grimmgreen seems to love it:

Don't forget you have to get batteries and a reliable charger also dar, which is an additional cost, and could potentially be hassle for you.

It's definitely worth getting a second of something, whether it's another twist or an evic/vamo. Partly so you can vape away while one thing is charging, but also so that you don't end up stuck if your current twist breaks or gets lost.

After trying most of what's out there, from ego's to the provari; I would recommend everyone should have a mechanical mod. Even if its not your everyday vape it will always be there as a backup there is nothing to go wrong with them.

Get a couple of efest batteries and a basic charger and you're good to go for years.

Don't all of the cheap ones require fiddling or something due to voltage drops across the switches, springs and stuff?

fiddling to reduce volt drop across the mod, but all work pretty well anyway, some better than others.
If you want excellent out of the box go gus or paps.

Dont go for an Evic. The warranty is only 3 months from Bargain Vapour and 2 months from Joyetech themselves.

There is no leak protection (significant) between the 510 connector and the internal electrics and the threads are made out of Alufukinminimum. ( rage sorry.) They are quite soft and will wear within 3 months, oh and they are not covered by warranty from BargainVapour.com
Hardly fit for purpose in my view, Im considering arguing my case for the €70 i paid only 3.5 months ago. I thought there was some EU electrical warranty that covers this sort of thing. I dont know where to look though.

It it was well made the Evic would be perfect for me though, adjustable voltage wise, just will not last imafraid.

Ah Jaysus - they're hardly that bad though are they? They seem to be pretty well reviewed in general for a non mech?

Well glad this popes up as I was considering it myself. Dissapointed to hear the reviews as it looks the part, a new mech will have to do

    .

That, right there, is a big problem. I didn't know that!

The evic is a great mod but in my opinion needs an 18350 tube as its far too long as standard and will not take abuse. If looked after and with one of the many nice SS 18350 tubes it makes a nice addition to any vapers collection.
Still if I had to choose between VV and mech mod I would go with the mech for reliability.

edit: the few pence they save by not fitting a ss connector is just crazy.

i just checked the date of the order there and i got my evic the first week in feb and apart from about a week recently, i've used it daily with none of the issues described here.

Thank God - thought I'd bought a flop! Must get an 18350 tube and battery though.

I assume the following will do, will they?
