best monitor for watching movies

    looking to get a 27", mainly for film watching. Does anyone have any opinions?

    VA type panels deliver the lowest black levels (usually 3x-5x better than an IPS or TN panel) so are a good choice for movie playback.

    An example in the 27" range is Benq GW2750HM, but you should check monitor review sites like Prad and tftcentral for an up to date list.
