Hi, I'm 25 and looking at options for starting a pension. I'm not offered one through my employer, and I'd like to manage it myself. Is this possible through a PRSA, and what kind of fees are involved?

First advice is avoid prsa's. they're described as being easy to understand blah blah......the fees are exorbitant.

You ought meet a broker, decide on a monthly figure you're comfortable with and go with a personal pension. Prsa's fees are about 95% allocation rate which is shocking.

I'm getting 105% allocation rate with a 1% mgmt charge off Zurich.

Boi gave me a pretty decent quote too.
