2nd year visa help needed

Hi ,

Just have 2 questions regarding the 2nd year visa app

1.Whats happens in app is rejected ? Can you reapply if you do alternative work

2. Friend working in a recycling plant as a labourer through Hays in Darwin - cant seem to get an answer as to whether this counts as 2nd year visa work

He has asked Hays and they have told him to contact immigration who will not give him a definite answer.

He has also contacted some 2nd year visa companies & they couldn't specify if this counted or not

The Immi website does not mention recycling but it does include landfill.

It won't count for the second year visa because it is not specified work as described on the immigration website. If he still has time left on the first year visa he can do the work and apply then.

You can appeal but only usually with evidence that you have done the valid work. Your question implies otherwise

working in a recycling plant does not sound like specified work.

I don't think land filling is mentioned on the website.


Looks like its not specified work. I'd get a new job fast.
