    Disappointing Baylor loss last night.

I wonder (if it came to it) that does a 1 loss SEC champ (Auburn/Mizzou) top the Buckeyes in the pole?

I'm obviously biased but Auburn with one loss is far and away more impressive than OSU going unbeaten against a cast of nobodies. I think Auburn (who would have to beat the #1 team and Mizzou) have the schedule that can overhaul the Buckeyes and, particularly with the Manziels losing, I don't think Mizzou do.

How Minnesota try to distract opposing kickers.

The top comment on Reddit said "The opposing team should just gopher two".

    Brilliant :D

The coaches poll continues to make little sense. Especially compared to the more sensible AP poll. No surprises there then. Unfortunately it's the coaches poll that counts toward the BCS standings.

Arizona State four places below Wisconsin despite beating the Badgers and playing in a better conference?

Fresno State #13? A team that plays in a woefully poor conference (particularly this year) and a team that could barely beat winless Hawaii.

But most of all Clemson ahead of both Auburn and Missouri?

Will be glad to see the back of the BCS.

The 'puters could well put Auburn at #4 in the only poll that matters, though. Looking very much like it's there for the Tigers if they can pull off the upset in the Iron Bowl.

As expected, Auburn at #4, Mizzou at #5. One of the highest stakes rivalry games in living memory is in store for us this weekend.

I fancy Auburn to win the Iron Bowl this weekend. I have a feeling Auburn wins the SEC championship and MSU beat OSU in the Big 10 championship game and again Im expecting a 1 loss SEC team to make the dance and win it.

Close now.. here's a good look back at the non-televised 1993 Iron Bowl: http://espn.go.com/blog/sec/post/_/id/75347/1993-the-forgotten-iron-bowl

David Fales & David Carr combined for 1,066 passing yards & 12td's last night!! Fresno lost to end their BCS hopes

Very good first quarter in "The Game" tied 14 after a couple of big plays.

Setting up to be a a great game anyways if it continues like this

Michigan up 21 - 14 now. Could there be a major upset on the cards?

An Ohio State offensive lineman who got ejected from the game for fighting delivers a message to the Michigan fans on his way to the locker room!

Kelvin Benjamin is an absolute beast but he drops the ball an awful lot!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

Terrible play calling by Hoke to go for it on 4th and 2 with a field goal for the taking and terrible execution by the offence.

Buckeyes march down the field and now it's a 14 point game.

Looking forward to the "Iron Bowl" now but feel all the hype will finish in a massive anti-climax. Find it very hard to see how Auburn can hang with a fully tuned up Alabama. Bama win 38-14

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

Wolverines hanging in there. Gardner did well to avoid the blitz and find a receiver wide open in the end zone. 7 point game.

Carlos Hyde who was having a massive game for Ohio State gets stripped of the ball which is recovered by Michigan.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,739 ✭✭✭johnmcdnl

And Michigan draw level, next drive for Ohio is going to be huge, especially after Hyde's fumble last time round and secondly time left on the clock.

They also need to try to play this so they leave Michigan with as little time on the clock as possible.

Should be fun to watch the end of this though. Been a great game so far.

Hyde redeemed himself on that drive.

Michigan going for 2 to win the game

    Hoke going for 2!

    Intercepted!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,739 ✭✭✭johnmcdnl

    Ohio intercept the 2pt attempt.

Michigan now need am onside recovery and 32 seconds to get into FG range.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,739 ✭✭✭johnmcdnl

    Ohio win and go 12-0

The noise in this Iron Bowl game is deafing....my speakers are about to explode.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,965 ✭✭✭Syferus

Big stop for the Tigers after looking all at sea to start the first drive.

Missed FG by Bama too. War Eagle.

  • Registered Users Posts: 924 ✭✭✭Emperor1989

Alabama gashing Auburn to start off but then miss the field goal.

Auburn will need to score as it looks like Yeldon could chew up serious yards.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,317 ✭✭✭HigginsJ

Odd decision to go for 2. Why would you not just kick the PAT and go to OT

Positive drive from Bama yields nothing missed FG

Cyrus Jones is the one to go after...had a mare against Manziel.

Oh such a shame he couldn't catch that.
