    What a fúcking game!

What's the National Title Game gonna be now?

Imo it will be Florida State - Ohio State, unless Ohio mess it up against Michigan St.

Looking forward to the "Iron Bowl" now but feel all the hype will finish in a massive anti-climax. Find it very hard to see how Auburn can hang with a fully tuned up Alabama. Bama win 38-14

Sorry to do this Higgs but...

    WAAAAAAAAAR EAAGGGGGGGGGLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Incredible, incredible, incredible game that lived up to every bit of the hype. OSU may go #2 this week but beating Mizzou (currently #5, depending on where Bama lie and if they beat A&M they could be #4) would probably be enough to give Auburn a chance to extend the state of Alabama's streak in the BCS title game.

FSU vs Auburn (I reckon Michigan State knock off the Buckeyes)

I'd imagine Brent was happy there was a bit of coverage of Ms Webb before he went on air for this game!

SEC going to get frozen out. That's the reality. An unbeaten OSU will play an unbeaten FSU bar an unlikely defeat for either in their title games. They won't deny an unbeaten major conference team when they are the only two undefeateds remaining.

    Delighted altogether, great outcome!!

What happens if Auburn lose in the SEC title game though? Will OSU get in even though they've had an easy schedule?

Michigan State will prob be ranked #10 for the Big10 title game. A win there gets Ohio State into the BCS title game no matter what happens in the SEC title game

Auburn vs Mizzou, the winner gets in if Ohio State lose.

Auburn vs South Carolina. If South Carolina win & Ohio State lose don't rule out Bama getting into the BCS title game as the best 1 loss team

    All guess work obviously

I think you've nailed it. If:

    FSU win
    OSU win

then OSU vs FSU and the SEC title game is irrelevant.

If either OSU and FSU lose, then Auburn go if they win or Bama go it they lose.

To make definitives in a season like this is to set yourself up to look very silly indeed. Auburn will cite 2004 when they were frozen out after an undefeated season and that will certainly play on the minds of the voters. The computer will already be favouring Auburn.

Even Mizzou beating A&M is no given, though Johnny's injury should help.

    Seminal indeed.

The scenes at Jordan-Hare after the game wouldn't be out of place in Limerick.

    13 - 0 Major Conference undefeated
    13 - 0 Major Conference undefeated
    one loss teams

    It's really that simple.

It pretty clearly isn't, but go ahead and believe that.

    Any interest in a wager?

    Terms:

In the event that OSU and FSU finish 13 - 0, I win the bet if they are selected for the National Championship game. You win the bet if one of them are passed over for a one loss Auburn team.

If any of OSU, FSU or Auburn lose, the bet is voided.

    Anything up to €100. Cheers.

You didn't just try the 'let's bet on it' tact, did you? Seriously dude, seriously.

You seem to have a strong opinion on the matter, is as good a thing as any to bet on. The option is there anyway.*

Man, that kid Folston has raw talent as a RB.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

Laughable that Brian Kelly has kept calling plays all year that Tommy Rees clearly is not capable of making.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,965 ✭✭✭Syferus

The Tiger Bowl for the SEC Championship looks a lock now. Hell of a turnaround from last year by both programs.

Cade Foster is going to be the most hated person in Alabama for a while. 0-3, 44, 33 and 43. Definitely should have made that 33 at least, he'd no excuses they weren't bad snaps or holds. Even on the blocked one it was his fault for driving it too low.

Just Tuscaloosa and half of B'ham, the rest of Alabama will love him.

Highlight of the play starts at about 27 seconds when Alabama number 79 shows some hussle in finding a player to take out. :pac:

Seriously lads, what's the point of even watching football any more? That finish was as good as it gets. :pac:

Add the Auburn comeback with 40 seconds left, the huge deal about whether there actually was a second left on the clock or not, Alabama putting the backup kicker in.

That's on top of the winner takes all Iron Bowl rivalry and the hype coming into the game.

One of those games where if you seen it in a movie you genuinely would say the script writers were taking the piss.
