Backed Notre Dame -14.5 on the handicap...needless to say I feel very sorry for me

Louis Nix live-tweeted the game. It would gave been more enjoyable reading along than watching the damn thing.

    Purple in 5...4...3.... lol!

Me too, although I'm really not looking forward to the coverage of Bridgewater and the inevitable ''definitely a #1 pick'' or ''definitely not a #1 pick'' after every play :pac:

Dumb call by Miami to go for it on 4th and 1 there.

Both defences are well on top.

Bridgewater has been pretty good so far. Losing Devante Parker is a big blow. Considering how poor that Louisville D has been up to now, they are doing a good job shutting down the Canes.

    Parker back in the game

Lovely drive by Louisville, this starting to have the look of a blow-out

Great pass by Bridgewater, even better catch by Parker for a TD.

Looked off the safety really well there. Very impressive.

Yea it was superb. I like his ball placement. Nearly always puts it in a spot where the receiver can then make a play.

    That was pretty ok

My god that was a beautiful drive from Bridgewater.

Another great drive by Louisville for a TD. The Miami defence is looking gassed already. This could get very nasty for them.

Looking forward to the Rose Bowl as a Spartans fan..

Any ideas how this could be viewed in Ireland..

Any likely official streams/ pubs showing it?

    Cork City based

    Cheers.

It'll probably be on ESPN college pass. On my phone here at the minute so can't check their schedule Think you can get it for 10 quid for a week or something like that so should be grand for getting you the game and you can get a few more games for your monies worth too when your at it.

ESPN UK will be showing the Rose Bowl live at 10pm on Wednesday. This channel is part of the Setanta Sports package if you want to order it.

Most pubs will also have the channel. If you want to watch the whole game you will need to find a late bar and ask them to put it on for you. The Woolshed on Sheares St shows American football so there will most likely be other fans in there watching it. Not too sure if it's a late bar though.

Texas/Oregon just kicking off now for the Velero Alamo Bowl if anyone's interested. Mack Brown's last game in charge of the Longhorns.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

Just switched on. Good drive here by Texas, they need a score.

Enjoyable enough game so far. These drops are killing Texas though.

Yes, those drops could come back to bite them big time.

132 rushing yards for Mariota in the first half.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

Having given up the TD just before halftime, the longhorns badly need a stop here.

And they get it, plus looks like Mariota is limping a bit.

Texas need to get some offence going.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

    Jesus, catch the fupping ball!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

Second pick 6 thrown by McCoy. Game over, Texas offence has been terrible tonight - not the way to say farewell to Mack.

Never saw them getting close to Oregon, a team that basically went into gliding mode after the Stanford loss. Probably a top four team in the country in real terms. If the Tide walk all over the Sooners (as they are liable to, especially with the Sooners' HC's loose words with regards the SEC) we will have been robbed of a genuine bowl match-up and given two pointless games because of money-grabbing.

The Chick-fil-A Bowl bowl between Texas A&M and Duke starts at 1am.

Johnny Manziel (QB), Mike Evans (WR), Jake Matthews (LT) and Cedric Ogbuehi (RT) are all worth keeping an eye on for the those interested in players your team might draft.

For Duke, Ross Cockerll (CB) is likely to be their top draft prospect.

Evans v Cockerell should be an interesting match-up.

I like the look of Evans, would love for the niners to get him, but probably not going to happen for one reason or another.
