    He's a Junior so I'd say around 20 or 21.

Played OLB as a Freshman. Moved to TE last spring.

Slow start from the Hokies. Would like to see them give Bama a game or not as the case may be!!

Need a big improvement from the D in the 2nd half. Notre Dame is travelling to Michigan next Saturday.

    noob question :o

NFL QB's and middle linebackers have a microphone to their playcallers.

How do college players get their plays from the sidelines?

I've googled and all I can find are pics and links of Oregon holding up a display from the sidelines.

Is that what all teams do?

I'm no expert but alot of them seem to use hand signals

Damn, not often you see a TD run that distance against Alabama. 77 yards, impressive.

AJ McCarron under more pressure in the 1st quarter tonight than all of last year. This is shaping up to be a contest

Off hand I can't remember anything even remotely similar in the last two years!

Surely Alabama cant do 3 in a row? Especially with so much quality leaving the team and Oline.
I dont want to sound like a know it all, especially since I know so little about college football and because their having a bit of trouble with Virgina Tech.

Really enjoyed Ohio State earlier and Notre Dame, they seemed to really struggle getting pressure on the QB, but really good play calling by Temple, just couldnt get it done in the redzone.

Any thoughts on Georgia @ Clemson, lads? I don't really like backing anything on the first week but think there's value in Clemson at +2.5 and over 69.5 points.

    Edit - over, not under.

I wonder how the loss of Warmack, Jones and Fluker will affect them as the year goes on.

Hard to know but it's up to McCarron to show he is more than a "game manager" now.

    Poor interception from Logan Thomas

McCarron has always had the play action to work from. If the running game isn't as strong as previous years I can see McCarron really struggling.

Personally I think he is very underrated & will carry the offense this year but we will see

McCarron is a bit of a mystery. Never seen a player to divide opinion so much. Some think he is terrible and some think he is fantastic. Im sure we will find out either way this coming year.

Jeez Bama going nowhere in the run game

Tennessee Vols piling it on against Austin Peay already, looking forward to see what Justin Worley can do at QB for us this year

Notre Dame - Temple game gone to ****e. At least we are getting a look at the freshman RB, Greg Bryant.

Christian Hackenbeg having an excellent debut for Penn St. Vs Syracuse. 20 of 27 for 248 yards, 2td & 1int. Hope he keeps this up as cant wait to see him in Dublin next year.

AJ oh dear, throwing off the back foot

After bigging him up last year, looks like ESPN have turned on Johnny Football.

Going for the following this weekend:

    South Carolina -11
    Cincinnati -10.5
    Texas Tech -4
    Northern Illinois +3

Not a bad start to the season, shopping paid for this week :D Might stick a few quid now on Florida State (-10.5) and Northwestern (-6).

Also, likely the play of the weekend.

Was hoping the Hokies would score next but that TD by Christian Jones means it's game over so time for Georgia-Clemson.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

Hope they have reduced Brent Musburger's viagra dosage this season!
