Did a double of Australia -11 and Ireland - 11 earlier on in the week, so good so far

5 units on Jordi to score in 8 at 3.2

Australia open at -16 next week on PP. Considering it was 50-9 while they were trying I'll have some of that. 1.1 units Australia -16 10/11.

Some more after timing I'm afraid but I'm so happy that Judgement Day's 'judgement' is temporarily improving. That plus a very large dollop of jammy good luck. :D

England were lucky to get their 9 points in the 1st half and in the Boks vs World an incredible piece of luck resulted in a last minute penalty by James O'Connor giving them 13 points at the break.

I've gone with Johnny Sexton to score a try tonight at 16/5.

Ireland out to 12 now, dilemma backing the PP price or waiting for better odds bookies to release theirs at the risk of a higher spread.

EDIT: Betfair have their odds. Ireland -11.5 2.0 1 unit.

New Zealand -18.5 1 unit 1.92. Not the easiest bet to make but they're stacked with world class players, while England are stacked with average players.

Thank heavens I got in on the early handicap for Ireland. 55.5 units.

    5 units on Ireland -12
Awaiting try scorer odds, plan on throwing 5 on Jordi to score in 80

Wooden spoon for this week, but at least I should have a payout next week!

Last weekend was good to me.

I had Oz to beat their handicap.
Folau to score a try in 80 mins.

NZ to beat their handicap :(

Ireland to beat their handicap :(
Sexton to score a try in 80mins
Trimble to score a try in 80mins.

    This week I'll go for:
    NZ -13
    Oz -16

The "obvious" playis NZ -13 and Oz -16 but I have a nagging feeling that one of those will come acropper!

I got badly burnt by Ireland -12 last week (thank you rubbish defending at the end!) and unswayed by my foolish loyalty I will be backing Ireland to beat the spread this week again.

ireland are -19 with PP right now....

    way too generous

Way too generous for which team? Ireland would have won by 19 if they had not conceded that late try and thats after all their butchered chances.

With a good few front line players to come back in, I would expect them to beat that 19 points. For all the praise and "satifaction" Joe displayed last week in the aftermath, I'd say secretly he was seething and will have drilled them this week on the training paddock.

    generous to ireland

id be very surprised if the spread doesnt shorten over the week.

these arent whipping boys were playing... and we'll be trying out yet another centre partnership (one which probably have never played together)

ill hold off myself until i see the teams named.

Eastern Province Kings vs Wales starts in ten minutes.

    My money's on Wales -45.

  • Registered Users Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Is -45 the 10/11 spread? The Kings must be rubbish so because I'm guessing that the Welsh team is a second string one.

    Yes and yes.

The Kings are a scratch side yeah?

They're not in the Super XV this season anyway.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,387 ✭✭✭GiftofGab

After the 25mins and 14-0 down, I backed the kings at -45. Thought they were coming into the game and wales were trying alot of running from own half instead of playing possession and putting points on the board. Knew wales wouldnt beat that handicap. Happy out

    treble

    Argentina (+19.0)
    England (+13.0)
    France (+16.0)

    @ 6.6

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,549 ✭✭✭✭Judgement Day

England to win at 5/1 looks a good (disloyal) safety bet to me. Should ensure a wipeout by the boys. :D

It's actually lengthened. I'm with you, it's very long but lots of money always comes in on Irish teams I've found. Meanwhile with the team's named Australia have shortened to -13. I really should've waited because that is a good looking french team.

He's a top class attacking player. Just need France/PSA to use him correctly.

Serves me right for doubting the Men in Black. Still, my more than 7.5 for England in the 1st half leaves me a few quid ahead. Gone for Australia more than 15.5 in the 1st half against France @ 5/6
