    i like the middle one.

    im on nkosi 2 or more @ 6/5 :(

gelant, nkosi and reinach all to score tries @ 4/1 :D

    willemse to score 1st try @11/1 :(

    boks -49 @ evens :D

The 4/1 shot has me in good profit for the day, and the boks spread bet covered the bets

Long shot but gone for acca on 5 1st half handicaps

    Wales -9
    Scotland -16.5
    Argentina -10
    Australia -12
    Ireland -12
    25/1

    * ^^ Nice one, Syd!

Took Russia +34 for this morning's one.

Break even for WC so far if this doesn't come in, with Samoa +30 v Ireland still outstanding...

    For today.

Grahame to score at least one try in each half @ 11/2

Grahame, Kinghorn and Seymour to score a try @ 6/1

"Long shot but gone for acca on 5 1st half handicaps

    Argentina -10" (19-5 HT)

    You're off to a good start! :-)

    Feck it!

    Wales -16 EVENS

    and

    Owens Try in 80. 3/1

    Have to keep interest up!

  • Subscribers Posts: 41,998 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

I like that spread for Wales.

I'd be worried though that owens would be taken off quite early though if they grab the TBP quickly.
Though Wales do love to maul.

    Not looking good.

While Hastings is having a great game, it must be frustrating playing outside him

    Ultimate disaster!

  • Registered Users Posts: 798 ✭✭✭Rockbeast2

Screwed the pooch today, but dammit, that Wales-Fiji game was a great watch!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,461 ✭✭✭kuang1

So what happens now I wonder to bets involving group winners?
If Japan and Scotland don't play, and Japan top the group, then bookies just pay out on Japan group winner bets only?

Haven't had a bet myself, but I'd be fuming if I had backed Ireland to top the group.

There's probably grounds for a refund.

England win/Farrell top point scorer and sundry small request-a-bets.

Damn you World Cup organisers. A couple of those request-a-bets involved All-Blacks for top tryscorer and all. Anyone else have their outright bets mucked up by these cancellations?

squads werent announced for both cancellation games so its hard to argue...

but reece for top try scorer is now severely limited.

Oh I'm just venting, wasn't expecting money back or anything...

  • Subscribers Posts: 41,998 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

some bookies are offering odds as low as 4/1 for there to be a sending off in the ireland samoa game :eek::eek:

  • Registered Users Posts: 586 ✭✭✭andymx11

I had a PP double (Arg -21 v USA and France +12 v England) - assumed with the cancelled game they would just return my stake but they actually paid me for the half of the double I won. Very sound...

I think I'm ready to make my one world cup bet and I think it is gonna be France to make the final.

  • Registered Users Posts: 798 ✭✭✭Rockbeast2

I put my largest ever single bet on Ireland @ 4/1

    * Ireland into 7/2? It wasn't my stake!

** Not too far into three figures, and only my meagre handicap betting profits so far + a few quid for luck;-)

Haven't done much betting on the RWC so far but I think I'll go for a real gamble next weekend with 4/1 on Japan to beat SA.

  • Registered Users Posts: 798 ✭✭✭Rockbeast2

^ Took Japan +16 for a small amount. Probably best bet ever.

Any bets standing out for the weekend lads?

  • Subscribers Posts: 41,998 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

The best value I see is England -8.

I think they could double that spread.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,449 ✭✭✭WeleaseWoderick

Going with my heart this weekend and put money on Ireland at 9/2. I'm irrationally confident about our chances this week so decided I might as well win some money for celebratory pints while I'm at it! :-)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,127 ✭✭✭The real mccoy 91

    Have a treble on
    England over 26.5 points
    Nz under 28 points
    Wales win by 1-12
    13/2

Quite like tuilagi anytime 13/5 with pp

Stander 13/2 anytime with 365 looks big also.

Will post a couple of bet builders when I get the chance

Ya but you wouldn’t have got anything back if the argies didn’t cover . The bet obviously just became a single

England drifted out by a point to -9 and new Zealand shortened to -11.

  • Subscribers Posts: 41,998 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

    Gone on a risky acca.

    England game under 44.5
    Ireland games under 43.5
    Wales game over 41.5
    Japan game under 49.5

A few wild ones to start the weekend. :D

    Ireland to win @ 4/1

At least this way I won't feel as bad should the unthinkable happen - again.

Ireland to be nilled @ 31/1

Ireland over +7.5 in 1st half @ Evens

    England v Australia: England (-9) @ Evens

    Anytime tryscorers

I'm going with same hunch but bulking it out with an acca on the other favourites to win their qfs,
