Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Need help with photostream

    Hi there,

Apologies if this is a complete noob question but i'm really struggling with photo stream.

I have photostream on my iphone 4, it is turned on in the settings and I also have the icloud control panel on my pc with the settings turned on.

The problem is that I can only see a certain amount of my photos on my pc, the latest ones i've taken.

I understand that it only keeps photos from the last 30 days or something.

My question is, if I lost my phone tomorrow can I access all of my photos from my photostream on my phone, about 850?

Or do I need to back them up manually somehwere and how do I do this? Can I back them up onto icloud or something?

    Thanks for any help!

Only newly taken photos are added to PhotoStream, so if you just turned it on it won't work. It's no use for backup or cloud storage tbh (if that's what you want use DropBox), but it's good for syncing photos back to your Mac/PC without having to connect to iTunes.

If you want to see all your photos in photostream. Using the pc download them from your iphone. Then using icloud control panel on your pc dump them in your upload folder. Sorted you will see all of them.
