    Erm, it's the same career.

    What time is Ivans interrogation?

If they have sense it'll be after 11 am when RTE is at the funeral.

I think that was great. I know Bono really divides the country but the man is inspirational as far as I'm concerned. His charity work should be lauded. Proud that he's Irish...

    Bono's interview was pre-recorded, wasn't it..................?

Course it was pre-recorded. PK doesn't get out of bed before 10.30 for anything less than a squillion...

So what did he inspire you to do?

Hop the length of the Camino on one leg? Swim across the Bosphorus? Buy a U2 album?

Yup, he said he spoke to him yesterday at the very start of the interview.

    *looks at watch*

Does that leave us enough time for Tina Leonard to tell us aload of things we already know, for Mary Louise O'Donnell to wax lyrical about a lump of wet turf, for Paddy O'Gorman to badger the pajama mafia down at the social welfare office, and for the Banjo Playing Boys From alaBama to give us a rousing rendition of "I married my sister"

Genuinely no idea what that theme tune was, and I thought I was fairly well informed TV-wise. Is Pat trying to appeal to those over 60?

What was the theme tune for the competition? I never heard it?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 789 ✭✭✭Turnipman

I wonder what Pat's going to do immediately after the 11 o'clock news? Surely there'll have to be an interactive sports slot so he can waffle on about the epic clash between the Mighty Dubs and the Fading Kingdom.

Is it just me, or was that eighteen months that he was away for very long?

    Great to hear him back:)

Yup, he said he spoke to him yesterday at the very start of the interview.

So it would be possible for Bono to log onto Boards while the interview was being broadcast, and post something complimentary about himself............ ;)

Beginning to think i must be the only person in Ireland who never met seamus heaney. Will the church take the crowd for the funeral?
Having said that i heard George hook on Friday say he never met the man and knew nothing of his poetry. Wouldn't hear anyone on rte admitting that

There is a thread in AH about Ivan some knocking him for leaving the country, I have to say fair fecks to him. He'd employed lots of people for years, paid taxes, tried and failed, but at least he tried. Bank tried to screw him big time and make an example of him. Delighted its worked out and he's back.

Ivan should have employed Bono's business manager!
