Has Pat Kenny never voted in Ireland? Ever? There are no curtains on the voting booths here...

There must be two moons in the sky, I find myself agreeing with Pat Kenny over something - corporal punishment.

If I had a job that I was responsible for the safety of others and I fasted for the WHOLE DAY ... i'd be sacked - would not be able to perform my job safely but of course not this, this has valid religious reasons (of course a man went on a desert march ~1500 years ago and conversed with God ... absolute BILGE ...).

Why do they give this twaddle air time ???

Pat credited Sam Smith with that first song his guest sang. He should have credited Tom Petty.

Goddangit - my plans to set up a casino in the park is screwed...

Waterford clearly needs less good times, and its councillors are just the people to deliver...

The ever modest (lol) Ger Hartmann just finished gracing Pat with his time. Whilst Hartmann is very, very good at what he does, he's not exactly shy when it comes to telling people about it. Pat struggled to get a word in edgeways at times.

    What happened???

Note to self after this segment - UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES find myself going to see Mamma Mia. Not that I would have anyway, but this is awful screeching altogether.

Twas fair bad alright. I was also misfortunate enough to tune into 10 minutes of it on TV last night and thought it was generally awful. But I suspect that just means we're not the target market. After that piece of advertising with Pat there'll be middle aged women beating each other to death with their handbags for the last tickets.

Mammy O'Rourke was delighting in the word "gangbangers" as used to describe LA hoodlums types. It all threatened to get a bit double-entendre at one point.

Is that the missing "long" e from "ebola" that's shown up somewhere else, at last?

:D Pat goes Pilkingtonesque - "The Antelope doesn't say 'ah nooo .. im stressed about the abbatoir next week' " classic!!

****ing water meters - how many times is this going to be explained? They'll be another blitz when the 100 euro rebate beckons.

They'll be another blitz when the 100 euro rebate beckons.

Will there? If the IW registration "deadline" stands -- and I'm not saying that's nit a very big "if"! -- there's no direct benefit to the government in reminding people to claim their €100 back later. And IW won't be involved in that part at all.

Could be like one of those "cashback" offers from the various stores, where you have to wait three months for the offer, forget about it, and miss the 1.5 day interval you could have actually benefited from it...

had to laugh when he was rattling off the biography off the new greek finance minister. wealthy shipping family, schooled in the uk, married to an economist. these socialist politicians all seem to come from a comfy background and good education, unlike the proletariat they claim to stand up for

I like Stephen Donnelly and up until today I would always have said that I'd vote for him if I lived in his constituency.

However, I thought Pat wiped the floor with him today, Stephen seemed to be very wishy washy to me. I'd be interested in hearing what the regulars here thought.

Mrs. All these guys are great at grandstanding and "pointing out things"

However, it's changing things and implementing change that is the hardest part.

It's bringing people with you and sometimes running through unpopular policy.

    These guys don't do that.

It really irks me that the Social Democrats have joint leaders. I think it is a massive mistake, these three egos are leaving themselves open for some piss taking....... The Three Amigos, The Three Musketeers etc.........
