Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This reminds of the time I drove straight through a barrier in the ifsc, I was driving by the warehouse where they were storing the fireworks for a display and forgot to look up. Bent the barrier in half. Legged it, still laugh about it.

On health and safety grounds alone bikes should be exempt - I saw a Hornet that got "skittled" by a car on the M6 ....

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

If you fish the coins out of your pants, the operators don't want to take it.

That's because you probably tell the Ops "give me a min, i'll get it from me sack".

It can easily take 3 or 4 minutes to go through a toll. Stop bike, put in neutral, stand down get off, take gloves off, find money, pay and wait for change, stick change in pocket and close pocket properly if it's a waterproof one, put gloves back on (if it's raining my cuffs go over the gloves, so takes a while to get right), back on the bike, stand up, into gear and move off.

OP, you should be getting the money for your lid off the toll company. Happened to my da (€700 arai) and a mate. Mate went further and got about €10k from them. They know it happens regularly and don't give a shíte about it, so make them pay is the only way things will change before someone is badly injured.
